Congress allowed this mess to happen. That is what happens when you have a country that is run by i***ts. High time for a change for both parties. Term limits would be an excellent start.

I agree with the statements about the EPA. It is far too powerful because of the Clean Air Act.
However, I have a problem with your Term Limits statement. Who is going to set term limits for Congress? That requires a Constitutional Amendment and 4/3 of the State Legislatures have to approve any Constitutional Amendment. Only the Amendment approving income taxes escaped the 3/4 approval process.

Elwood-right on ! I have been preaching term and age limits for years. Some of these turkeys have been riding the gravy train for so long that they now need assistance to get on board. There should not be anyone over the Age of 65 serving in congress. Most are too senile to even understand the legislation they are v****g on. Term /Age Limits will probably have to be imposed by the people at the v****g booth because the normal process would probably take forever. Good Luck America !!!

How short your memory is, Skott. Surely you have not forgotten that the US was attacked by terrorists on OUR soil. We could have sat on our hands - and WOULD have, had Clinton or Obama been in charge - but we had a President who knew what to do and did it, and did it pretty well - in spite of all the attacks by the very people who v**ed FOR the war, by the very people who financed the war. The people who supported our going in - politicians and citizens alike - all of them on the LEFT began the lies, grew the lies, grew the interior hatred and THIS is what is left - and it had nothing to do with the war Bush led us in. It had to do with POLITICS AND THE BLINDNESS OF the left.

Bush did virtually NOTHING to the debt as compared to Obama who has done nothing but golf, vacation, and deny B******i. Yet he has driven us up past the capability to recover. Color the US dead, and the villain is Obama and his followers, no one else.

If we can get enough people stirred up and start pushing the states it can be done.

Only a liberal could make such a dumbassed statement. Obummer has created a helluva of a lot more debt than Bush did. Also, if you can recall, Bush warned congress about the impending Freddy Mac/Fannie Mae collapse and those two living monuments to stupidity and corruption, Barney Frank and Chris Dodds, said no everything was OK with those two institutions. So you democrats were more to blame than Bush for the ultimate debacle and Obummer magnified it. :hunf:

You are as dumb as your fellow liberal Skott who I just took to task. The democRats were responsible for the budget mess at the end of the Bush term and when they controlled both the senate and house and the presidency they couldn't even pass a budget or come close to anything resembling a budget. What a bunch of losers you guys are. :hunf:

Another thing you don't recognize as being clear is that you don't know squat about any of these men nor anything about politics. Bet I know more about debt and deficit than YOU do.

Look back. You'll see that Bush's destruction of the economy started before he came to office.. It happened, along with 911 , when Congress decided that everyone should OWN a home regardless of their ability to pay for it. This and 911 forced the housing bubble burst and additional cost of chasing Osama ben Laden made the crisis during his watch.
Obama, on the other hand has failed to improve the proble,. In fact he has made it worse by his careless over-spending.

Re the housing fiasco - President Bush came to Congress SEVERAL times to warn them about what was being done, the danger it was causing. Barney Frank essentially told him to go to Hell, that everything was fine. Sorry assed i***t, Barney Frank. The President is NOT in charge of spending, Congress holds the purse strings and it is Congress who is at fault for our nation being broke. A bunch of drunken spendthrift thieves.
