Something certainly happened!! Our generation and even my sonβs generation, grew up with respect and responsibilities! There were consequences for bad behavior! My husband calls this generation the ME generation! I have no doubt that that thereβs a lot of truth in your statement! Along with that statement is the problem of not having a Mom and a Dad raising them! So many men, sometimes women, disappear after the divorce!
Very true. And whichever is left has to work to support the family, so off to day care go the children. Raised by strangers, no strong bonds. Part of the problem anyhow. Then they go off to college and are given that feeling of belonging, and they're lostπππ

My kids....."You want your new Mario Brothers game?"
"Yeah".
"Ok". "We can do that, but first, I need to see three clean horse stalls, a clean chicken pen, and two clean bedrooms".
"Dad"!!
"You want your game"?
"Yeah, but..."
"Then get busy yabbuts"!
Sorry, that's how I rolled, and now my children are abusing my grandchildren the same way, and I have no say!

I raised 4 kids on my own, divorced when youngest was 10 mos old. No extended family. My kids had to contribute effort. Now that they're adults they're all competent and self sufficient (and conservative)π

I divorced my kids' mom when they were 9, and 11. It was a tough row to hoe, but I won custody of the kids, the property, and livestock in court.
I did the all alone I'm gonna do it thing for about 2 years.
Then I met Mrs. Bunker......
She fit right in, and we haven't stopped since!
Long story, but her daughter who was welcomed in didn't fare so well. She couldn't understand the split family thing I guess.
But, my two have the world by the tail, if they can only hold on!!
This happened in Berthoud, Co. a couple of weeks ago.
The Larimer County Sheriffs Department is the local law enforcement in this small Northern Colorado town.
Previous police department was disband after the police chief
Originally the gathering was for the local residence to show support for the all law officers, and BLM (mostly white young males) decided to show up .

I'm old school. I was slapped out from under my hair, knocked into next week, and lived with the threat of not being able to chew soup.
We don't have that anymore.
Good times.....
You forgot not being able to sit for a week.

My Mom was so hard on me that when I exited her birth canal I already had a beard and needed a shave.

Miserable little brats. I still blame a lot of this on the bulk of this rioting generation being raised by day careπ

I remember when I was a kid, my job was the remote control. When the parents wanted the channel changed, one of us would go to the television and turn the dial to change stations. It wasn't too complicated, we only had three networks and PBS.

I hope we can do the same with the New York Bolshevick propaganda machine. Theses "journalist" of the cnn, abc, cnbc and msnbc need a lesson on "why it's not good to be a communist and liar in America."
