It's not meant to be a racist remark, but if I had a telephone communications business I would use the people easiest for customers to understand, just saying, I'll probably get heat for that.

That's not racist at all. Generally we call companies with a question or complaint, so we are already frustrated. Then, to get someone you can't understand after you've already spent good dollars not rupee's is aggravating to say the least. I generally ask for someone who speaks great English. It generally deteriorates from there.

You see that was not all that hard, was it ? I saw the phrase " may have been " in the stories. It also once again demonstrates the problems inherent with paper ballots.
Yeah, it's toothless.
Chokeholds need to be banned. Period

We will just disagree. It's not toothless and define chokehold. Something I know a bit about. Put yourself in the cops situation for a change. If a criminal and you are fighting on the ground and he obviously intends harm to you do you have the time to worry about whether your hold is legal or not? I can put someone out with ahold without choking them by definition. Also, you just showed the problem. You dismiss the bill out of hand. Schumer was asked to provide amendments which would lead to a debate. He wouldn't. totally political.

Yes I imagine it would, LOL. I don't think younger generation get nearly as frustrated due to not knowing how much better things were years ago.And to make matters worse now everything is getting pushed off to emails, yeah that's great, what used to take a 10 minuted phone call with an actual person, now takes three days by email. Ah yes the improvements we've made. It's real progress.

That's not the nature of the beast.

Nope, its getting progressively worse. The near term future looks quite bad. I can't imagine how they are going to keep line firefighters safe. Fire camps out in the middle of nowhere with hundreds of firefighters living, eating, and working in close proximity for 12+ hours shifts of physical intensive labor three weeks straight is going to create breeding grounds for the spread. We have about 104 hotshot crews nationally and 250 smokejumpers. Those are the fire communities delta force. If covid gets into them, our ability to deal with Mother Nature's nastiness will be seriously degraded.

Yes, I would also like to think you for your service also. I think your work goes unacknowledged too often.
If I may, here's a thought tell me what you think... What if loggers worked with forestry, to create grids, especially in drought effected areas, before fires occurred? Rather then clear cutting mountain tops, or mountains.

I work second shift and the email option is good for making an initial contact. I have had better success sending an email and getting a response than I have had getting someone to return voicemail.

I think as soon as the police officer has cuffs on the person, they should be sat up. if really out of hand bind their feet too. But this "extended" choke hold has got to go. A choke hold, (if kept) should be no longer then a certain amount of time, and that's it. If someone is pumping adrenaline, dart the dude ad have him go night night.
I think the worst thing that ever happened to the younger generation is the internet. The young people are be I’m socially awkward for lack of a better description. Interactions are through a screen.

Yeah, I agree on voice mail, another waste of time, almost guarantee a blow off.

Every cop I know says once the cuffs are in it’s over. Basically impossible for the perp to do you much harm. Very rare would a choke hold be necessary. A rear naked choke hold properly applied is much safer to apply and the results are quicker. Perp is out.
I have and I believe the police should have a Byrna gun. It fires a number of different plastic projectiles. Bout the size of marbles. If you’re hit from 25 feet or less you are hurt plus the projectiles can be ordered either solid or full of pepper spray.
Kinda why I bought stock in the company. Up 22% since purchased. Symbol is BYRN.

Yeah we've arrived at Max headroom, does anyone remember that show? lol Our technology is killing us and we're becoming completely codependent on it. I gotta tell ya, any kind of codependency steals away your power.
I don't think people realize the chaos that would ensue if our grid went down.
