My wife and I were business owners before we retired and we worked our asses off. I expect the Black business owners whose lives were ruined did the same.

Not to mention the murder of a retired black police chief by black looters as the x chief was helping a friend defend his business from looters. By all accounts the chief was a great guy and helped many underprivileged youth in his area. Doesn't look like these protests did him much good.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "They want "black privilege." That is why they try to use "White Privilege" as a hammer to try to force something from our society, that they were not able to achieve on their own.

There have been millions of blacks who have taken advantage of the feedom and opportunities that America offers to better themselves and their families, but like in all societies there are those who either "did not" or "could not" benefit for one reason or another. There will NEVER BE AN EQUAL SOCIETY....that view is a socialist Utopian pipe-dream! In the meantime, the Democrat party has continuing to promise blacks something they HAVE NOT & CANNOT DELIVER! It is by that tactic they have maneuvered to keep most blacks on the proverbial "plantation" for their votes, they have become the pawns in a high-stakes chess game.

Dem's have promised for generations that the will solve all of black society's problems and right the wrongs that have been dealt & that they will make them EQUAL...whatever that means to them! They have been lied to, they have been fooled, they have been tricked, they have been used unfairly & now SOME (certainly not all) are just trying to even the score.

Unfortunately, most do not YET realize why or how this has happened & who is really to blame!! The MSM tells them it is "whitey" & Trump and they gobble it up!

I think defunding the police force is an idiotic idea -that's obvious. My thoughts are police sometimes need to police themselves when it comes to neccesary force used on arrestees. Look I know if you are a jailer for instance you wind up beating down drunks that want to fight sometimes. I know cops get shot as soon as they walk up on a car sometimes. Cops get beaten up breaking up fights and helping women in domestic disputes. I know it is bad. There does need to be mental help for this kind of stress. Your attitude can make you think everybody is shit when you deal with shit every day. Where do you think that leads? Not to condone the deliberate killing of Floyd Brown but it should have been avoidable. I want to believe there is going to be an awareness now and an honest effort in our police forces to help officers cope with stress and train all in guidelines that do not result in beatings and deaths of those who are in their custody.

I agree. I think one of the problems is police policing themselves. I’m not sure who should do it. Certainly not politicians or members of fringe groups such as BLM. Maybe boards as diverse as civil right attorneys, constitutional attorneys, x police chiefs and someone from the Justice Department.

The looters and rioters are not seeking justice, They are thieves and robbers who think only of themselves. They don’t concentrate on blackownd business, they are opportunists. Anything of value will be a target,The diamond district of New York is mostly conservative jewish Merchants. Target stores are not black owned businesses. The thieves and rioters are not seeking justice,they are seeking “freebies”. The protestors are probably as upset as anyone with the criminals taking over . This is not a Liberal versus conservative , left versus right issue. It is criminals versus law abiding citizens exercising their constitutional right to address the government for a redress of grievances . The grievances are the perception of unequal treatment of minorities by law enforcement.The protestors include a large number of white citizens

We have a nephew who has been a cop since college. Long story, but he worked his way up to special crimes investigator. Sort of CSI, I guess.

Seeing what humans do to other humans eventually got to him, and now he is doing traffic accident investigations.

Law enforcement sees the worst of humanity, and it takes a mental toll.

I have a few cousins who are cops or married to one. and I know a few cops that I sometimes work for. My cousin Phil was shot at three times by a suspect and each time he begged the suspect to put the gun down and told him he didn't want to hurt him. The last shot tore the shoulder on his jacket so he killed the shooter. He had a nervous breakdown when he found out the shooter was mentally retarded and was having an episode.

The white cop vs black suspect scenario has been under the microscope for quite some time. Tension between the police and blacks has been increasing for years. The Minneapolis incident was merely the trigger that unleashed this madness.

As the rioting spread, mob mentality once again reared its ugly head, moral codes went down the crapper, behavior became emotional rather than rational. Mob mentality is contagious, like a virus, it spreads through groups and neighborhoods infecting even stable individuals.

The violence now, the destruction and the burning, has nothing to do with George Floyd's death, his death is just the excuse.

The democrat party needed a voter base that is completely dependent on them remaining in power, so for generations, the Masters of the Democrat Plantation brainwashed millions into believing the world (i.e. government) owes them something. They were promised cake and got nothing but crumbs.

The death of a black man at the hands of a white cop opened the flood gates for them to take what their masters would or could never give them. Even the idea of having to pay money for things they need is abhorrent, so any store or shop or business is fair game.
