Spot on ~ "the ends justify the means". Whatever it takes to get there". The best thing for someone dying is the chance to "vote" several times in the next election. https://freedomwire.com/liberals-want-more-deaths/

That is a ridiculous idea. Liberals are disappointed because less people are dying? Really? It doesn't much matter anyway, because common sense dictates that a second surge is coming late summer and/ or winter. I see lots of crowded barber shops, and other crowded places where people are not wearing masks, observing social distancing, or any other measure. The hotels are filled up for Memorial Day weekend, with people from who knows where. I sure hope the vaccine is coming quicker than expected, or there will be a serious health problem once again.

Thank you Dr Saltywind for your extremely optimist report, you are surely showing all your superior common sense about your predictions of a coming second surge, you are truly an oracle! It is such a shame that people are attempting to forget about the virus and making plans for Memorial Day, we should not be able to celebrate a holiday this year with all this virus stuff in the air! Just the thought that we might be exposed to strangers with who knows what kind germs is truly stressful! We still don't have those killer vaccines ready and should all be good little sheeple and stay locked inside our homes until they are proven, even if it takes forever...it is always better to be safe than sorry!

I congratulate you on staying true to the Democrat cause of having fear reign in the hearts and minds of all the people in the USA and your continued contributions on forums such as this, without your help, more and more people would be trying to break free, go back to work and mess-up our latest campaign to stop Trump!

You can be sure that we will support you and send you to food banks and maybe even another little check just to help out, so do not despair, we will always take care of you, if we can just get rid of these pesky Republicans!

(yes it's a spoof, I have not gone over to the dark-side!)

What the Trump administration is doing is trying to normalize the needless deaths of tens of thousands of Americans each month in a Hail Mary effort to put off his depression long enough to have a shot at reelection.

Where do people get this sort of merde de vache? Nobody is disappointed due to few people dying. That's Russian propaganda and you shouldn't fall for Russian propaganda. I checked CDC reports for 2010 to 2017, well before this mutant C19 virus showed up. The greatest number of Flu deaths was 61,000 in one year and the fewest was 12,000. The average was 32,000 a year. So far, this C19, which was a "liberal hoax" last February, has killed more than 90,000 and will have killed over a 100,000 by the end of next week. And it's only May. And all the President seems to think of is the economy and getting re elected. He doesn't care a rat's behind for you or me.

People are desperate and justly so. The country is only partly shut down. Folks can't get to work, aren't getting paid, but banks are still charging interest on loans, landlords are still charging rent and taxes are still coming due. What we need, if the C19 virus continues, is a sort of National time out. Since an average human needs about 1600 calories of food a day to stay alive, I would suggest that we use something like the ration stamps of the WWII era. Rate them in calories, and send each family a ration stamp book every three months with enough stamps to supply every member of the family with 1600 calories a day. Maybe increase this if this virus continues into cold weather. Then when a vaccine is developed, merchants who had taken these stamps in trade for food or fuel would be reimbursed in dollars at a rate I would leave it to economists to decide. This would have the advantage of not destroying faith in the US dollar. It would not cause inflation. It would enable us to shut down without destroying small business and therefore control this virus and save lives. Democrats will not like it because it would not make Trump look bad and Trump wouldn't like it because he didn't think of it.

Won't work, I'm not letting anybody put a vaccine in me. For many yes it works, you should see how many will say shove your vaccine.

Well there have been years when I skipped the Flu vaccine, but my doctor says that at 88 I shouldn't do that. I've had various types of Flu a couple of times, and this C19 is worse so I think I'll take his advice. If you don't want to take it, that is your choice. If enough people are immunized, the virus has few people to infect and that may well protect you. And even if you catch it, you have a pretty good chance of recovering and after that the antibodies that your own body has made will immunize you naturally. Anyway, stay safe and healthy.

I assume from your comments that you are too young to remember when there used to be a little message beside George Washington's picture on the dollar bill that said "This certifies that there is on deposit in the Treasury of the United States, one dollar in silver, payable to the bearer on demand." That vanished during Lyndon Johnson's administration. Everything is now these "Federal Reserve Notes" that are just printed paper. It is easy for the Federal government to pay for anything. Just print more paper. Of course this has the effect of making the money less valuable. For instance, when My Dad got back from WWII, he bought this farm in the hills of Vermont. 400 acres for $5000. When I got off active duty in USAF, I was making about $4200 a year as a 1st Lt and Jane and I thought we were rolling in doe! A few years later we bought a house for $16,000. Fifteen years later we sold it for $69,000 and that wouldn't buy anymore than the $16,000 would have 15 years before because the value of the US dollar had shrunk so much because they just keep printing so much of it. So if they printed up ration stamps for the duration of this pandemic, it would not cause this inflation.

Yes its ridiculous but what do you expect when some leftists - such as the OPP's cockwomble kevyn - say the right wants people to die? SSDD
