By Jan 23 when Wuhan went into lockdown there was verifiable evidence of human to human transmission and it was announced...

I agree... Stopping flights would have been difficult... But it needed to be done...

There were no communications openly telling us about the virus, their findings, out comes, nothing! Nothing to verify their suspicions, or their actions to stem the tide of it's contagion. There was no sharing among doctors regarding it's pathology or etiology. Nothing. They hid it. They censored those who revealed it. They shared nothing with us. No warning, nothing.

All we had were guesses and very weak intel. They could have confirmed everything and we could have had total support for stopping all incoming from outside the country. So could the rest of the world.

According to the link provided if the adminstration had reacted as early as the 30th of December when there were indications that something was happening , even if the worst was covered up. Ensuring the country could have a response. Yes he did stop flights coming in from China. Flights were still arriving carrying people who were possibly infected. You are asked questions on international flights. Was the question asked if the person had been near anywhere that had reported a case? You are asking for the impossible , in a perfect world what you are asking would be possible, this isn't a perfect world.
