My apologies, I should have worded my question better. I don't really care what Dr. Fauci said except his statement made me wonder. Is it possible for a virus to have one-way interspecies transmission? Are there any known examples? Is it common? Rare?
I've looked a little on the internet but oddly can't find anything. Maybe I'm searching on the wrong phrases, I don't know.
It is my understanding that some big cats in a zoo tested positive but it was determined they couldn't transmit the virus to humans. They think a handler gave the virus to the cats.
