This will be good...the wealthiest man in china is offering us 500,000 test kits

Trump needs to tone down the rhetoric and make peace, as in do whatever he can for China and accept help when it's offered. He has already refused help with test kits from who because he wanted our biggest labs to have a monopoly on tens of billions of dollars. We still aren't up to speed. South Korea ramped up to thousands a day in a few days. This isn't that frigging difficult.

It's a frightening time...

I'm almost finished a second month of home quarantine... My work has been delayed by three weeks already... And we just got information that the university may not resume until the end of May

I am supposed to graduate this May... But the ceremony will be cancelled or postponed... Not sure how I will do my thesis defense...

I was given three months pay this past week... Jan, Feb, and March... But I don't like receiving money I haven't earned... Other teachers are working over the internet,but our department has forbidden the foreign teachers from doing so.... Very odd...

I know there is a lot of finger pointing and blame going around now... But truly, this is a time for Americans to pull together... And for America to be a guiding influence in the world...

I called my favorite cousin today... She is a teacher in Vancouver... Schools have shut down and people are being asked to avoid public gatherings... But the bars are still open and both of her boys (19 and 20) ate still going out partying... She has just picked up a friend from the airport (from the UK..He just made it out before flights were blocked) and there were no checks or tests involved...

I don't understand what is going on... People are aware of how it can spread and Europe is crazy now... It's amazing...

I'd like to give her boys a slap upside the head... And they're good kids... Well raised... Just young and ignorant...

There's no need to panic... But it doesn't hurt to take precautions...

Tricky situation. Trump dragged his feet trying to turn this crisis into political capital and that failed massively so now he would lose even more face by accepting help from another billionaire, especially a Chinese one.
Trump is choking on his pride already having to take this “hoax” seriously but I would have to say this crisis seems to be forcing him to grow up a little. We can hope.
