She's right! Admin suspended me for calling someone an idiot. So "fool", "idiot", and "moron" seem to words that trigger admin to suspend the offender. Word to the wise: Don't use any of those words or you'll be hearing from admin.

Yep, they suspended me for a retort that used the word idyot in response to him calling me an idyot.

I love the retorts. Without the lefties, I wouldn't have as much fun.
Only one has pissed me off to the point of fisticuffs, if and when I see the guy, but other than that, I love the insults and interaction and camaraderie.
It's fun.

yes most are I do watch for the jewels that are hidden among the garbage with most of the left and have found I don't get as upset and really enjoy many conversations with them so it works out in the end but the newbies are still very ruff and have sharp edges and are quick to call people names perhaps I'm just getting old and intolerant. Sitting in this house is getting on my nerves I think be glad when it warms up

Very true! Most of the comments by some of the hard core lefties here are grist for the mill for hearty belly laffs. And since I love 💕 to laff, I know that by logging onto OPP, I can usually manage to get my laff quota for the day. 😂😂

It's 55 degrees here on the western end of the gulf coast in Alabama.
I'm here on a Trump economy reward.
It's beautiful, but cold.

Enjoy the sun for me here in Georgia it's been raining for 7 days and cold. Hoping the tree's dont fall over the ground is so wet. The only time I was in Florida when I was young pretty much every time I walked out the door and got a block away (no clouds now )There would be a rainstorm last for 3or4 mins just long enough to soak my butt to the skin so I would turn around go back to the house AWW the memories

With all the conversation on this site about socialism I’m having a hard time figuring out exactly how people define, and or what they know about socialism.

My consternation is with all the reports of corporations reaping billion dollar profits without paying taxes, and or petitioning local governments and getting tax dollars to finance multi million dollar expansions, and new developments, what else would it be called but “corporate socialism”?

Please don’t bring up any money’s given during the Obama administration because that is history. Currently republicans are already talking about cutting the top tax rates to instigate business investment, barely two years after the last 2trillion dollar cut.

As well trump is seriously talking about a negative interest rate, which means giving businesses tax dollars on top of the loans requested.
With all the conversation on this site about socia... (show quote)

Corporations under socialism would be the control of business through excessive regulation or the outright government takeover of business and would be a necessary part of complete socialist or communist takeover. What you're referring to is crony capitalism. Crony capitalism is a system in which businesses thrive on a nexus between a business class and the political class. Corrupt politicians in bed with business. The problem, for quite some time now, has been crony capitalism, not capitalism itself. The opposite of socialism. Socialism is not the solution to fighting crony capitalism. Both are destructive to individual liberty.
