Even though she did offer a hand shake, all knew it was for show. How would anyone in Trumps position accept a hand shake from a person that wants him gone from that position?
Personally I would have done the same thing knowing all that was said about me and then offer to shake my hand. Don't think so.

I grew up 11 miles from a small town. There was no constant back & forth. Stores all closed at noon on Wed. There was no ground clutter light @ night so we could see a “zillion” stars. I spent hours looking for faces, animals, in the clouds. We had a party line phone I never picked up unless told to, reluctantly then. When we had thunder/lightening sometimes the phone would glow blue.
You are blessed to have such get togethers, friends who make time for kids. My wife used to kid me about trying to raise two boys to be just like me faster than I should. She cautioned me to remember times had changed.

Hi plumbob, welcome to our pit. For 50 years I served the government, no to be more precise the republic and its people. I kind of hated the government. Yeah I agree Nancy did something I never have disrespected the Presidency. I came close, but always pulled back. The impeachment circus was enough but now her felony? Yep, I was tossed in the brig a couple of times; usually disobeying commanding officers. However, I had a major (a childhood friend) who always stood up for me.
