But didn't Harry Reid just change the 2/3 vote to a simple majority?

That would only apply to what the Democrats want. You should know by now this Obummer administration make and change laws to fit their own agendas.

The House brings the charges, the Senate tries the president, but otherwise you are correct. All bringing charges will do is give Obama his one chance in a bought off court and then the charges cannot be retried. The Dems wish this happens now.

In spite of overwhelming evidence that buma has engaged in criminal acts, do you think it wise to charge the 1st Negro president? Wouldn't there be a big backlash by the liberal race baiters? And civil war?

Me three and we will. We will win the Presidency and the Senate and Ted Cruz said there will be no shortage of hearings and this time there will be jail time. I hope it is like the McCarthy era. But these minions are like martyrs. They will follow their Messiah to a cot in a box for him. No accounting for love is there? Live Love from the great Republic of Texas!
The Constitution is as relevant today as it was then. They fought a war over taxation without representation, which is just what Obamacare is, calling it a fine instead of a tax. Cloture should be taken off of the books. It was a bargain to stop all discussion of a bill and vote on it in return for not using the nuclear option. They did and we still have it on our books. It should be long gone. Samuel Adams, not the beer, said, If ye love wealth better than freedom, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were ever our countrymen."(written in 1776). That is as relevant a contest as we are running at this very moment. Entitlements for your freedom. No wonder Obama does not want us to know what the Constitution says. I, for one, carry a purse-sized copy in my purse at all times, so when some ignorant fool says something ignorant, I can pull out my copy! I also went to that seminar in Houston given by the Campaign for Liberty and it was from 8-5 But we sure learned some dirty tricks to play on our opponents. I enjoyed every moment of that seminar. Now, I am taking Constitution 101 and have just paid for the book--a "donation" which is pretty fair, considering it is a beautiful 669 pages and the online class will count as a college course in political science. Not that I need any more credits. 8 yrs was enough. But I think I will be a lot better informed if I know something about how everything went down and why. Live Love from the great Republic of Texas. My father always told me when I was a hippie, don't just bitch, do something. so I bought the book, Revolution for the Hell of it. By Abbie Hoffman. Boy was my father pissed when he got a call from the Pentagon saying that they had received "non patriotic" verbiage from someone at that telephone number! Well, he told me to do something. I also never stood up for the Pledge of Allegiance because I was protesting what I felt was an illegal war and every one in the class understood why. Now these simpletons do not even know or care who Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi is. They will when they get their first paycheck!
Me three and we will. We will win the Presidency a... (show quote)

I am on lesson 8 of the course and I bought the book too. It has been 8 weeks and the book hasn't arrived. I called and was told it was about to be shipped. The lecture on "The Progressives and the Constitution was most fascinating and informative and educational. I just finished Carl Rove's "Courage and Consequence." A fascinating book a great read if you want to know about what went on inside the WH during the Bush years.

So what are we to do? Allow this Chicago Hoodlum free rein to destroy America just because he is SUPPOSEDLY black and a revolt might take place? I say do what is right Constitutionally and let the chips fall where they may.

The libs were so over joyed by his election. It is contrary to human nature that one make a mistake. Therefore, they tend to support him is everything he does. I was thinking of the repercussions of an impeachment. What if!

I know this sounds as though I am weaseling, and maybe I am, but the truth as I see it is that our problems will never be solved until our nation is so broken that it cannot rise without a miracle or a bloody battle. Both sides have talked themselves to death, and the humongous voting block that is brain dead will ruin all chances of getting the country back on track without drastic measures. I think we have to fall to the depths before rising.

With the election of Bill Clinton, democrats has changed their political philosophy by beaconing much more left winging. The RINOs have remained in the center along with some few democrats. Conservatives, who used to be a silent group have begun to speak out because tey are enraged about what government has transitioned into, tyranny and Oligarchy. The TEA PARTY infuriates democrats because they rose to power and kicked democratic butt in 2010. Democrats have reason to worry about it happening. I love being called a TEA BAGGER.

It is time to renew everyone in the Senate and change a few laws for the rights of the public. It is time for the public to rule - not the governement. It is time to show our government that they work for us - not us working for them.

I do not know how the IRS, has lasted for so long. I have read its history, and I cannot see how our elected officials have allowed for the tactics and the underhanded ways in which it operates to have gone unchallenged for so long.

I have grown weary from listening to the "news" media "reports" on the "facts" of what is going on in this institution; we need to know the truth, and the problems need to be effectively eliminated.

I pay taxes, and I do not have a problem with this: what pisses me off, is to see so many of our major corporations, receiving breaks and then over-charging their customers for services and goods, that in most cases, are not all that good!

I should think that if more people did a little homework before going to the media for all their information, we could start electing the right candidates and stop this stupid electing crooks from Chicago.

Just another teabagger hissyfit there is no IRS scandal, the Cleveland office was doing its job scrutinizing odd ball groups that were applying for tax exempt status when they were not entitled to be exempt from paying tax.
