...if they repent their sins, but not for being gay.

Suddenly Franklin has expanded his mind and realizes that young evangelicals are more accepting of the gays in in the church. Even franklin admits he is a sinner just like a gay person may be a sinner.

A lot of the very fearful, terrified homophobic bigots who claim to be christians will have to re-think their bias, fears and hatred if they want to get into franklin's vision of heaven

It will be fun watching so-called "conservative christian" heads explode.

Same goes for fornicators they too can go to heaven if they REPENT and TURN FROM THEIR SINS in other words stop fornicating !

The message is quite simple if one really desires the truth !

What makes you think, that homosexuals are hated? It is not the person that is hated, it is what they do that is outside of the sensibility of marriage. The purpose of marriage, is to form a consistent and trusting relationship in order to provide a basic foundation for offspring. Since the sexual acts of homosexual relationships do not produce an avenue for more people, it is an empty and selfish union that is against the concept of what marriage is all about. Suppose all selfish acts were to be honored by society, where then would cooperation stand, and what would society be?

Bo,your report on Franklin Graham's statements on ABC's "This Week," this morning, April 20th, is completely erroneous, - completely innocently on your part, I'm sure.

Franklin said nothing new, everything he said conforms to the Holy Scriptures, as any Biblical Christian would know.

No Christian's head is going to "explode."

He DID NOT say "but not for being gay," Cokie Roberts interjected that phrase, interrupting him, rather rudely, I might say.

His words quoted in the following report are from a liberal source, but they managed to repeat his words correctly.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/04/20/franklin-graham-putin-is-doing-whats-right-for-russia-by-cracking-down-on-gays/

Quote:
Rev. Franklin Graham on Sunday said that he stood by his earlier comments agreeing with so-called gay “propaganda” bans in Russia because President Vladimir Putin was doing “what’s right” for the country.

During a March interview with the Charlotte Observer, Graham had asserted that LGBT people were trying to “recruit” children by adopting them, and suggested that it was “exploitation.”

He also said that he “agreed” with Putin because “protecting his nation’s children was a pretty smart thing to do.”

Speaking to ABC News on Sunday, Graham doubled down on his praise of the Russian president.

“Putin is going to do what’s right for Russia, and not what’s right for America, but for Russia,” he opined. “We used to have a president in this country that did what’s right for this country, but we don’t seem to have that right now.”

“Putin is going to make these decisions that he thinks is best for the Russian people, and he thinks that taking advantage of children — exploiting children — is wrong for any group so they passed a law,” Graham added. “So, I do agree with him.”

When asked about his father, Rev. Billy Graham, he again brought the discussion back around to the issue of same-sex parents.

“When we talk about families, when we talk about gay people, many people, maybe gays that are watching want to know, ‘Can God forgive me or can I go to Heaven as a gay person?’ Absolutely,” he declared. “But the same for any of us, we have to repent of our sins and turn.”

“A person cannot stay in adultery and be accepted by God,” Graham continued. “You have to repent.”

“What would you say to those children of gay parents?” ABC host Martha Raddatz wondered.

“Like any parents living in sin, you have to repent,” Graham insisted. “Franklin Graham is a sinner. I’m no better than a gay person, I’m a sinner. But I’ve been forgiven, and I’ve turned from my sins.”
Rev. Franklin Graham on Sunday said that he stood ... (show quote)

So now homophobes are trying to justify their bigotry as a form of altruism???

I suppose older people who get married are just selfishly manipulating the institution of marriage because they can't have children???

There is an error in your logic.

If Jesus returned, the conservatives would immediately arrest him for being a radical, poor, long-haired, Jewish vagrant. After jailing him for being homeless, they would deport him to Jerusalem and put him on the TSA watchlist.

Having children is one of the blessings of marriage between a man and a woman, it allows them to present their genetic blend to society. Older men and women that do not have children, miss that part of marriage, but because they are a blended person to God, their value is acknowledged. A man and a woman together are considered one person to God. Same sex marriages are mistakes.

Fornicators (which includes almost all Americans over 16 these days) usually do give up fornication. It's called marriage...and the end of sex. Oh joy; as a consolation we get to go to heaven and sit next to Franklin Graham??? Does it get better than this??? Please tell me it does.

I have to agree with you on this one.

I was unaware of our abilities to dismantle the word of God! It is not for any of us to pass judgment upon others, but to obey the word of the Lord is a responsibility which makes us all either true to the Lord, or liars before His face: I choose obedience, and I will not capitulate to the new-age dynamics of relativism, in order to not offend someone's sensitivities!

Franklin can have his say; but I will stand upon what the Lord has said to us, regarding the subject. It is up to the individual to make the choice for his or her own soul, I will not disrespect anyone's humanity, but I will choose to not accept behaviors, nor offend my God, by saying that they are "acceptable" to me, in order to belay someone's saying that I am bigoted. Behaviors I might add, which have been revealed to the world, to be counter to those which God (and even science has proven!) has designed for us to commit.
