While the Virginia governor is on a gun grabbing crusade the people are fighting for their second amendment rights. Vast numbers of cities and counties are declaring themselves second amendment sanctuary locales. The latest is Portsmouth, Virginia. On the night of the vote one of the council members who is a second amendment advocate came to the meeting with an AR-15. Of course, the liberal members flipped out, but the motion passed anyway. Don't you just love it? Now let the liberal anti- Constitution posters on OPP go nuts.

nothing wrong with having guns just as long as there are checks and balances in place such as background checks and registration of guns. I have guns but if I was asked to register my guns I would. just my opinion

Registering guns is the first step to confiscation.

As is your right. I think registration is a slippery slope and I don’t believe criminals will register theirs.

Why do you feel that 'registration' is of any value?
I would suggest one examine the Canadian experience with gun registration: Costs far more than expected; debatable efficacy - even among the police themselves; and gun confiscation.

you register your car don't you? it shows ownership, if your registered gun was stolen as with your car then you are not liable for the actions of said car or said gun, am I missing something here? if so please enlighten me

I’m not worried about the Democrats wanting my car. They are constantly talking about confiscating guns. See Virginia. If they don’t know you have it, they won’t come get it.

If an armed assailant breaks into your house you cannot protect your family by running over him with your car. Yes, you are missing a lot.

Guns are already registered if you buy them legally!
If they can have sanctuary cities for illegals . Then 2 can play the game!
