No it was a miserable Christmas this year. I awoke at about 4:00 A.M. with my back throbbing in pain. I went downstairs very slowly and got two Aleve pills and then tried to go back to bed. I gave that up in short order because of the pain. I went back downstairs and made coffee and finally sat down at the computer still in pain. I was supposed to go to my daughters for breakfast but I had to cancel that as well. I moped around the house for the rest of the day until the Aleve pills slowly started to work. It is now Dec. 29 and I finally have gotten a full nights sleep without having to take Aleve in the middle of the night. New Years eve God willing I will go to my daughters house for Hor Douvers and then return home after a few Hor Douvers for a good nights sleep. I hope that you had a blessed Christmas now that you are on the way to a full recovery. I pray that you and yours had a joyous holiday season and were able to see friends and family in the process. Happy New years to you and your family as well.

While the True Spirit of Christmas can never be diminished, this one was not so great for us either. Jeanette was very sick with an infection when we finally got her in to see our Primary Care Doc on the 26th who loaded her down with antibiotics. Our Son had to take her I can't yet. The 26th was also the day the family gathered at our new home for dinner and passing out gifts. We are blessed with two other very able wives, one of which is our daughter, and three young adult granddaughters who took matters in hand and in short order had everything under control. Jeanette has finally returned to being "feisty" today but only about 70%. (I used the word "feisty" to get slat's attention. He's enamored with the word even more so than admin is tuned into the word "idiot". 😁). Jeanette shared with me a saying she found or received on social media that I will adopt for my new years "absolution." I share it with you......."It has been said that we only live once. This is not true. We only die once. We get to live every day." A blessed, joyous and healthy New Year to you and others here on the OPP.

I agree with you Pete, here you can, there are some places where Child Protection Agencies arrest you. Weird eh? According to them it's not to the benefit of the child if teachers don't agree with your agenda.

Thomas Sowell has demonstrated great wisdom and remarkable ability to make it understandable. Now Peters with his ridicule of home schooling lacks both abilities. Parents that care enough about their kids to remove them from the political slop that is taught in a high percentage of schools today also care enough to do a good job. Test scores from home school and charter school students back this up. One thing lacking is social training but perhaps now with brain washed public school students that is just another advantage.
