Spot-on!

Dr. Sowell hasn't been putting out any columns lately that I've seen, which is more the pity because I've always enjoyed reading them, as I have his books.

But then, he's approaching 90 years of age and likely retiring. Bummer.

I enjoy his books as well. Lots of insight and wisdom.

Thomas Sowell certainly a man of very high integrity and itelligence. One of his best friends is fellow economist Walter E. Williams, who still writes columns on economy and other topics.

I've heard of and have heard Walter E. Williams speak a few times but haven't connected with him on a more regular time from , but maybe I should !

Absolutely! I have had to resort to rewatching everything Drs. Sowell and Williams have on YouTube as there is a red line under all their videos.

Simple solution--homeschool them. Teach your children what you want them to learn--then when they are all screwed up you can blame it on liberals for forcing you to educate your own children.

I have a friend who is a conservative who earns her living as a home schooler, and she turns out students who are infinitely more college ready than those whose K-12 "educations" come from the Democrat run education system.

My calling as the father of our children was to developed their character, teach them the faith and love them regardless. What they accomplished in life we made it quite clear was their responsibility including their grades in school. Of course we helped them while in school, we did not take a laissez-faire attitude on any parental responsibilities. Part of building character was to teach them self discipline and personal responsibility. Today, Peter, responsible, loving parents, those who teach their children the faith, morals, values, right from wrong, good from evil are sending their children to institutions that try to reeducate what they learn at home. They go so far as creating confusion about what bathroom to use. Practically every day we hear or read some horror story centering around Progressive teachers indoctrinating our children in evil. And then there is the lack of a good education understanding this is not the fault of individual teachers but "the system."
