The simple answer to your simple question is that no testimony is required since the Dems haven’t proven anything with their witnesses. It’s the equivalent of a summary judgment or directed verdict in a court of law when the prosecutor fails to prove their case in chief. The judge (the senate in this case) summarily grants judgment against the prosecutor for failing to prove their case to the standard of proof required by law.
But the real jury in this ongoing 3 year fiasco won’t render their verdict until November 2020. And it’s gonna make election night 2016 look like a walk in the park.
