Did you suggest this while Barry was POTUS? Cause he used executive privilege for everything he wanted kept out of the public eye. He gave that privilege to Eric Holder for Fast and Furious and hid his own papers behind the same privilege, until congress sued to see the papers and what they got was so redacted that it looked like a book with black pages. Then both Barry and Hillary lied in the faces of the American public about Benghazi saying the attack was due to a video, when the truth is that inaction by Obama AND Hillary killed those people. They knew all along that it was a suicide mission.
Now we have Biden proven to have enacted quid pro quo in the Ukraine to get his son a job with very high pay ( and he had no experience in the filed and couldn't even speak the language).
At this very time, the dems are threatening to impeach Trump over a phone call that everybody that has read it, except the dems, say it is a good phone call...done correctly. A republican got kicked out of a closed door session where testimony was being given...they are leaking just what they want the American people to hear...and the reason they are doing this is...to make Trump look bad close to the election. They have no proof, they have no case, so today, Pelosi says they will NOT open an official inquiry...why? Because they don't have a case.

Bringing our country down? Surely you don't mean the extra $5800 average that American workers are getting with Trump ( that's tax cuts and wage increases). Surely it's not the lowest unemployment in 56 years? Or for the black community, the lowest in our country's history? Ditto for Latinos and women of all races. Surely it's not because he is making other nations trade with us more fairly? Or that he is making them pay more of their fair share? Surely it's not because he has put in place protections for those of us who worship God? Or that he is doing his best to protect our country form enemies both foreign AND domestic? Or that the stock market has hit record after record? Is it because he puts America first? ( which would be kinda weird on your part if so). There's more positives but I don't want to get real long winded.
So, pray-tell, what in the name of heaven are you referring to that we should be ashamed of?

No matter how smart some think the original writers of the constitution were, they had no idea how the country would change since 1788.

For instance, why is the 3rd amendment still part of the bill of rights? It is useless, and will never be used, since the founders had no idea about standing armies and forts.

And why do cons always talk about being originalists in their interpretation of what the founders meant, only up to when they are in power and want to support their policy, such as the horrible, criminal Citizens United for corruption and greed.

And it is time to get rid of all of the nebulous, confusing language about what some thinks that some meant in 1788.
