It is time for the constitution to be re-written and updated

No matter how smart some think the original writers of the constitution were, they had no idea how the country would change since 1788.

For instance, why is the 3rd amendment still part of the bill of rights? It is useless, and will never be used, since the founders had no idea about standing armies and forts.

And why do cons always talk about being originalists in their interpretation of what the founders meant, only up to when they are in power and want to support their policy, such as the horrible, criminal Citizens United for corruption and greed.

And it is time to get rid of all of the nebulous, confusing language about what some thinks that some meant in 1788.

It's re-written constantly. Here's how it works; decide what you want to do, or not do in some cases, then twist the Constitution so that it appears to support your actions and claim you're just following the law.

If you need another example........................the Bible is used in exactly the same fashion.

Liberal judges have been rewriting the constitution to fit their agenda for decades.

Howdy Comrade! You show your true colors and expose your real sentiments with the above comment. Someday, when your exhausted at spitting hatred and lies, Google "C*******t Goals." I just did and am providing you a brief apropos sample:

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

Yeah, those Federalist Papers that go deeply into the reasons, purposes, and intent of the founders in framing our constitution are extraordinarily "nebulous". Takes a friggin genius to figure them out.

I'm sure someone of your low IQ and limited education doesn't know this, but the Constitution of the United States belongs to We the People, it is not the property of the government.

It doesn't need to be rewritten but some new amendments are definitely due, especially in p**********l privileges, p**********l pardoning, everywhere we have recently witnessed Trump's overreach of power, obstruction of testimonials come to mind. Or to have the president's position be suspended until the cloud is removed or validated where he is then permanently removed without any pardon for his actions.

You want one restrictive constitution for Republican presidents and one loose constitution for Democrat presidents.

Oh, you mean the same stuff that every other president has done, except it's okay for them because their name isn't Trump and they didn't kick Hillary's ass in 2016.

=================
Not while Congress is under the majority of the radical LEFT. They will redefine the constitution change to provisions and policies so liberal that will ultimately bring our country to Socialism, the hope and change Barack Obama from Kenya had planned since 2008.

And if they ever succeed, in refining the Constitution against the Founders had set up, the LIBERALS AND SOCIALIST will forever govern this country to their desired Socialism. Christianity will be restricted or vanished, and Muslims will enlarge. The demand and vision of Tlaib and Omar is realized.

Are you at all educated? Because if you are, rethink your ridiculous post. We would never again have a functioning presidency. The intelligence agencies would run Washington.
