Article 5 of the Constitution is totally inadequate, without much definition of how a ConCon might work. So, ANYTHING GOES! With the voters having accepted progressive socialism as the new standard for America, and with 34 states now having thus sent this to Congress for [unknown] action, I believe we can expect the worst.

There are many problems with our Constitution, which have brought America to inevitable disaster... same as all GOVERNments throughout history. Such always permit Rulers and Force, subjecting some 7 billions of "citizens" to the whims of flawed DNA.

I think there is great advice in this comment. When one ventures into the GREAT unknown, KNOWING the enemy is better prepared than WE are, we are at grave risk of losing everything we cherish. Hopefully we can learn more about how it works as time goes on, but on the surface, I fear we are headed to Armageddon, politically speaking.

I read today that Michigan is now on board for a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) and it marks the 34th state which is enough to call a Convention together. The purpose is to reign in our out of control government, but that may not be the outcome. So we REALLY want a Con-Con?

We totally agree that a Con-Con will only result in our tyrannical situation even worse.

In Vote2012, 98% of Americans failed to either notice or care that they were supporting collectivism under whatever sub-set you care to name.

This same bunch of bandits now control this GOVERNment, and we can be certain that they will also control any constitutional convention. It’s simply Bad to Worse!

From what I have read, the actual workings of a Constitutional Convention are not clear. I also think Congress must call for it based on states' petitioning. If Congress has anything to do with it, we know it will be scripted by them.

The big worry about Con-Cons is that one never knows where it will lead. We know that the equivalent of "community organizers" is flooding the US at most things political in order to get their way on everything possible, and a Con-Con is the absolute perfect thing for them to try to control. Be wary, everyone. Be wary.

No... Congress doesn't have anything to do with a Constitutional Convention... Here is Article 5 of the USA Constitution:

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, OR, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, IN EITHER CASE, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, OR by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress

So, You See, The Constitutional Convention Clause Looks to Reign-In an Unrully Congress & President BY BYPASSING THEM & STILL AMEND THE CONSTITUTION...

They can only "touch it" by Passing an Amendment Repealing the Amendments Passed by the Constitutional Convention & Ratified by Three-Fourths (38) of the States.

We're not bypassing our unruly congress - actually somehow they've been handed the next move. 'Tis scary indeed!

I believe a Constitutional Convention is asked and contarolled by WE THE PEOPLE, not congress. It was meant to be our strongest resource when Congress and the President of USA are in a horrible conflict, thereby, WE THE PEOPLE should act and do it right now before we lose the beautiful freedoms only America has! Lets get it ON!
