Lived in Palm Beach for a few years, the location of Mar A Lago is between The Intercostal Waterway and the Atlantic, Mar A Lago is not right on the beach. The property is on the west side and down a little lower than AIA. There are many old estates that are along both sides of AIA that would be in jeopardy of more damage. My guess is if Dorian should aim for Palm Beach, most or all of the island will evacuate. Experienced many hurricanes, category 4 will be a rough one wherever it hits. Andrew cat 5 the area it hit
on the day after looked like bombs were dropped. Now in South Miami building rated for cat 5, rode out the last one here and no problems. This one is probably somewhat more powerful. Diesel generator, a parking garage that last storm never a drop of water hit my car. Plenty of food, batteries, booze all the fun of riding out a hurricane.

Well, it will be interesting to see how many of our "Allies" send relief after the storm passes to help those affected. Does anyone of OPP remember seeing planes or ships loaded with relief supplies from our "friends" in Europe or Asia, Canada or even South America?

Nope. Tho Saudi Arabia donated in Missouri a few years back when they were flattened by several tornadoes
