Just trying to help you understand...

You do know that the First Amendment allows us freedom of religion, right? Thus, that includes ALL religions, not just Christianity, Judaism and Islam, right?

It also allows us freedom to not buy into the monotheistic, as well, then.

Do your gods have names?
Have your gods helped you in life's journey?
Have your gods given you guidance and a need to give unselfishly?
Just curious, because my GOD has done this and performed well documented miracle in his brief existence as a man, and countless life changing miracles for millions of his followers as he resides in heaven. The day will come when this our almighty child of God will return and all tongues shall confess to who is the true God, his father Jehovah. The father of all mankind and the universe. Creator of heaven and earth. Father of Yeshua or Adonai Yahweh!

Can you list any of these transitional fossils? I haven't found any that haven't been debunked.

Thanks for the lecture. I feel much smarter now and I don't feel as if I need to denigrate your faith or your god even though the 1st Amendment gives me the right to do so. However, if your religion/faith/belief system causes you to be so rude and snarky you can have it.

I'll assume you refer to Yahweh, the god of the Jews, Christians and Moslems. Any thoughts as to how he came to be, such as his mother and/or father's name(s), place of birth, approx. age?

YHVH. That's His name. NOT Allah. different god. Islam is mislead. You're just not very knowledgeable.

Perhaps, but did you read what I was responding to? I thought I was exercising pretty good self-control! I've been a drunk and a stoner most of my life and thought I was a pacifist, but when I put all that aside I discovered I was never a pacifist - I was just stoned  My temper was still there!

That is a good question, one that I can not answer. I beleive the earliest record was a Tetragrammation of YHWH, which as consonants needed vowels to finish, enter the Greeks here. Our creator has I believe seven descriptive names with the Hebrew language.
I guess I would assume the Tetragrammation could have evolved down through ancient ages, The Hebrew"enlightened" and the Greek "mythological " were guided by God throughout their enslavment to Egypt? That desire be free quite possibly gave the people clarity?

"I AM" is the name God told Moses to tell the Egyptians when they asked the same question. English translation of course. I'll have to look it up in the original Hebrew now! You folks have aroused my curiosity.

Let's try this??

God may be in nature, but God is not of nature.

Man was created by God in the image of God;
God is in believers; God is not in unbelievers.
Nature was created by God but not in His image
Therefore God is not in nature, but nature reveals Gods existence.
God is not of nature, but nature is of God.

What do you think?

Hey geddun! Still busy selling your God, I see. It's always reassuring to see a man dedicated to his beliefs.

Over 50 degrees today and predicted to be even warmer tomorrow. The spinach in my cold frame is taking full advantage, the pond overflow is gurgling merrily and the ten inch thick coat of ice in the driveway has a twisty water flow path through it. The ultra cold of this winter has used all but a couple face cords of firewood from the reserve in the barn.

Hope this finds you and yours with a jillion reasons to smile!

I ask again, "How did god get his name?" You haven't given me an answer. I have learned that each group (sect) decided upon the name for his own god. This is one of the reasons I don't follow or believe in any god as they're all created by Man.

You exhibit pride in your past. It's either bragging or a good cop-out. I would imaging it would be best to forget the past and concentrate on the future.

Actually, it was a serious question. I haven't done any research in about 15 years, and at that time every single "missing link" had been debunked. Of course, that was before they found the "mermaids"! ;-)
