Any crime so horrible it warrants life imprisonment should be eligible for the death sentence. If they are to be incarcerated for life they are of no use to society and therefore SHOULD NOT also be a burden to society !!!!!!

Agreed!!

What do you think?

Death penalty should be administered immediately upon sentencing.
It would be very effective in deterring crime.

Without a doubt is often difficult to prove. A preponderance of the evidence should suffice. I have been called for jury duty many times but when the lawyers find out I was a cop and a correctional officer I was let go. They want the dumbest, most ill-informed on the jury.

The Texas Attorney General thinks so.

Immediately upon the death sentence, the execution should take place.
That ought to deter some crime.

My thought also, it also explains the panic and nastiness of the left. Great minds think alike!

I do think that we need to "raise the bar" for the death penalty,

"beyond a reasonable doubt" just isn't good enough when you're taking a human life.

I would like to see that changed to "beyond any shadow of a doubt" for a death penalty to be imposed.

I think that enough people on death row have been proven innocent, to warrant a change.

Eh, that's a problem, but where you have the murderer or the traitor cold, within 10 minutes of the sentence the guilty should be executed. No waiting.
