I agree. Putin is dangerous, but his economy will always hold him back. For all of his trying Humpty Dumpty ( the USSR ) cannot be put back together again. China has shown that it has the will and the means to fully challenge the US on the World Stage.
We are fortunate that the Russians and the Chinese are ancient enemies. They will cooperate against us only so far. If Putin could put the Chinese system in Russia that would be scary. Russia has the natural resources and the educated scientists that China lacks. If the Russian people were properly motivated they could beat us and China, but never under Putin. He is too much the old KGB guy.
