I am not squishy - This situation is affecting more than just the alien. I can be sympathetic about that. There does have to be order where there is none. My only concern is ---legal or not we are dealing with human beings --many innocent children. Getting Mexico to step up to the plate and give these people a chance to have a home would be a blessing in this case. On our part I care if human beings interred within our borders are given at least as good of treatment as our American prisoners.

American prisoners have rights via the US Constitution Tom. Foreigners don't in my opinion. Especially foreigners who play our system.
I keep refiguring this, but I figure that, even living in Texas, I get to keep about 51 cents out of the money I've worked for, and earned. Why should a forth of my labor go to support people who won't assimilate, fly their countries flag in my country, and hate me because of the color of my skin, and my Nationality.

I get a different figure on taxpayers contribution on social programs but it is still high at 9% out of every dollar. That could go a long way toward making life better for people who work. I personally would like to abolish all taxes on the working man and make sure that the bigshots who get their riches from the labor of the worker paid taxes. That will never happen but it is how I feel. I came from a town where the Indians and Whites hate each other and every body hates the Mexicans and the few Blacks just went to church. I don't wish to live there again so I have had a taste of prejudice. America is just the best country in the world despite our many social ills. We have freedom of choice and the opportunity to pursue a way of life and if you are from a country where this is not happening America looks mighty good. Another thought of mine not an arguement but what if we send troops in to these Latin American countries and straighten some crap out. Teach the people how to fight and turn their countries into a place where they want to live.

We need to promote law and order..Not hand out freebies to allcomers...

Not so. The humane treatment you are speaking of is denied by democrats because they won't fund it. The reason our facilities are overcrowded is because of the numbers (100,000 just last month)( that's more than 3300 per day). If you believe that illegal aliens, border jumpers, refugees, or whatever you choose to call them, should be allowed to walk across our border unhindered while receiving the best of care ( care that citizens NEVER get) then you are guilty of the term "open borders". If you believe that children shouldn't be separated from their lawbreaking parents ( and many times, sex traffickers) while not caring about the 4,000,000 American children separated from their lawbreaking parents, then, again, the term "open borders" fits you.

If you want those little brown people to stay home they must have a home they can stay in and live free and prosper. We prop up countries with oil riches and strategic locations on the other side of the planet but we don't open up a can of whoop ass here in the western hemisphere where we need too. If I lived in a country where what I worked for was stolen from me by armed gangs and corrupt governments I would leave and so would you.
