Like she couldn't afford to hire a good lawyer?
The only ppl welcoming the flow of immigrants are ppl who believe it won't touch the way THEY live.
but as to how life gets disadvantaged and disorganized for others that's OK. They have their wealth position good jobs etc.
Nancy Pelosi isn't taking in any beggars at the gates. Funny how the caravans never cone to her house and the ppl never climb her walls.

Thing is.... you can not get rid of squatters by just asking them to leave. The police will not help, they tell you to take them to court. The court, if they help, give the squatters 90 days to leave. Do you know how much damage uninvited guests can do in 90 days? Just ask me, I had the problem and it took me almost a year to reclaim my home. The law is on the squatters' side..... you can not even have utilities turned off!

Watch the movie "Pacific Heights." Melanie Griffin, Matthew Modine, Michael Keaton. 1990.
Perfect example.

I feel your pain. I have two families of squatters living on my property in MS. I am the sole owner and the courts were no help at all. Personal property rights are becoming unenforceable and a joke. My only option is to sell at a loss because the new owners would have the same problem. Which means I would have to sell to a judge or really smart lawyer. Smarter than the one I had anyway. I was not even allowed to charge them rent. It's legal theft and I didn't do anything illegal. Seems it's only my property for tax purposes.

Funny ~ I don't hear any of those on the Left coming up with any rebuttals. All those OPP sh#house lawyers must be on vacay. LOL

The owners seem to have no legal protection! I am sorry you are going through this too.

Thanks, I could solve it but then I'd have to do time. It's not worth that. But the thought does pass through my mind now and then. A pretty little place, almost five acres, a pond, a live creek in the back and two nice double wides on it, yellow iris's along the fence line, a few pecan trees, and muscadine vines, and wild red plum trees. I had planned on dying there. It's paid for and everything. Now I'm an apartment dweller paying almost 800 a month rent and turning 65 next month. But I'm still a happy warrior. God is always good! Just kind of wish He hadn't put that "vengeance is mine" verse in the Bible. I've looked for an escape clause but can't find one. My one hope is Trump helping to fix the judicial system so they stay in their proper lane and stop all this nonsense, 'let's make everything illegal legal and the problem is solved' corruption. We both understand this situation too well.

A friend was telling me this was the law and I didn't believe her. Told her she must have misunderstood things. I don't get how this can happen. You own property. Somebody can just come in, squat and nothing you can do about it? Whatever happened to trespass laws? Have they been abolished or something?
As a property owner, you have no rights and new owners can't put them out either? Then that means apartment complexes can't evict people. Buy a home then refuse to pay the mortgage and you can't be put out. You can claim squatter status and live there forever.
Utility companies should be held to the same standard as the property owner who can't shut off utilities on a squatter. Then they can't shut off utilities if someone decides not to pay. Squatters rights!
I did hear, too, never let a guest receive mail at your home. They can then say they live there because they received a piece of mail and nothing you can do about it. And they don't have to pay you. Law says they can live rent-free on your property, on your dime. They can actually sue YOU. Unbelievable. How does this happen in America?
