Agreed. A daunting task, which is sad considering the technology of today that makes communication almost instantaneous. Thinking the issue has more to do with comprehension, and finding agreement without conforming or temporarily suspending core beliefs and values.

Because you were in the army does not make you a patriot, because you support the 2nd amendment is not an automatic, I support reasonable gun laws and it does not mean I'm not, conservatives are not automatically patriots...far from it.

Those who supported the patriot act were not patriots, the liberals opposed to it were far more patriotic.

When you support someone who is tearing at the threads of democracy and our constitution you are not a patriot, you are an alt patriot just like everything about Trump is about alternative facts and fake news.

You are in no position to determine who is and isn’t a patriot. No one here has any way of knowing if you are one either. You seldom talk like one. Who knows.

Many liberals supported the patriot act and many conservatives were against it. There was a cross section of each.
