Anyone believe Iran is actually behind damaging the ships transporting oil. The last report I heard is that it could have been caused by floating mines. Any county wanting Iran to be blamed could have placed a few mines.

Iran is the world's leading sponsor of terrorism. Anytime American military personnel or civilians are victims of a terror attack, there is a very good chance that there is some degree of Iranian involvement somewhere, usually in the form of logistical support. The Mullahs have either broken or violated every international agreement they have entered into since 1979.
It's possible someone else did it. We are talking likelihood here.

How did the Destroyer not see the attack taking place and pursue the attackers? The strait is only 21 miles across, our Destroyers radars can see a bird shit within 300 miles of the ship.

BTW, oil prices were slumping and some folks predicted pump prices dropping below $2 a gallon...............until those tankers got hit.

Yes, they could, and likely did. Pausing for just a second and considering that such an attack was very likely to point the spotlight directly at the Mullahs in Iran puts a whole new perspective on it. I'm reminded of Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction that have still failed to materialize after nearly twenty years of searching.
It's a pretext, and one that will be utilized to attack the Iranian people in their homes, whether it's the right thing to do or not.

Pay attention to real news. Navy has video of Iran removing one mine that did not blow up on contact.

Keeping the actual price of a barrel of oil at or above specific levels takes precedence over most other considerations. However, when oil prices drop below levels not normally seen, it's probably because the price of oil is being used to influence the behavior, by creating an adverse effect on the economy, of an oil-producing county that has, for one reason, or another, fallen out of favor.
