Ve hoe,

To follow the political "gay rights" movement requires that you read some of the literature put out by them plus the literature put out by non activists. For those who are in the field of reparative therapy or helping children who have been damaged by sexual molesters, keeping track of what the politics are involved is important, however for the rest of the world, it is obviously not a priority. My interest is primarily in the treatment of sexual abuse damage.has been for years, but to each his own. Everyone has a different job to do.

I'd like to clarify your one assumption. Make cats will only attempt to kill off a new litter because they desire to begin their own. I've had cats (notice I do not say owned) for 50 years. I was initially breeding Oriental Shorthairs. The only time a female cat will kill their own litter is because the litter is ill.

Just about two years ago (when I was still in the breeding business), two of my females gave birth on the same day, at different times during that day. The senior mother, who had always been a great mommy, did away with almost her entire litter. I did save one thinking that I would simply place it among the kittens in the younger mother's litter. The next day I found
unger litter fine but the one I sneaked in there was killed. ( she removed the head.) The balance of the litter were left intact. About 6 months later, the older mother died Prior to that the Vet claimed she was healthy. I personally think she knew more than the Vet. Animal behavior is primarily directed toward survival.

I also disagree with you about animals being amoral. I might go into this at a later time but it would become too long a dissertation for now.
*************** br I'd like to clarify your one as... (show quote)

Cats and dogs will sometimes kill the entire litter. I had a friend whose poodle killed her entire litter by biting their heads off. She did that on her next litter. the third time they gave the puppies to another bitch to raise, and they all survived . They kept a bitch from that litter and bred her. She bit all the heads off her litter, so it was apparent that the genetic influence in that case was significant. Lion males, and a number of other animals where one male and a number of females are a permanent group, will kill all the offspring of another male when the new male takes over the pride. Animals have their own behavior patterns, but to say because they may do things like kill their offspring, that it should be acceptable for humans to do the same thing is sheer nonsense, but to extend the logic of the "Gay Rights Movement" that would be acceptable.

By the way, most of the riding behavior of male mammals has more to do with dominance than sex drive. It is amazing how much sex and dominance are related isn't it?

I never did condone the process. It happens. I don't know how you carried this logic to the Gay Rights movement. My initial comment was that same sex creatures DO sexually participate throughout the animal kingdom. Its purpose is the the survival of the species. It is interesting - your idea of dominance. In the animal kingdom the "weaker" male either takes a subservient role or leaves the group. This need for dominance seems to be the cause of most rapes and spousal beatings.

I can understand the desire for dominance among males but, I believe, in the animal kingdom, frustration is not taken out on the females. Our "society" has created a weaker product through our "humanity." Where, at one time, ALL males went to war in armies (where the weaker or less intelligent would most probably be done away with first), and therefore, we have gotten to the point of protecting the weak and sending our strongest and most intelligent into war. This allows the weak (physical or intellectual) to be left behind to continue procreating. That doesn't make sense to me.

I would be interested to know how many countries put this concept into practice. Until lately, gays here were not allowed to enter the military services. They had to form an alliance in order to "gain the right" to fight. I'm sure that a military man, being saved by another, was never interested in the sexual preferences of his savior.

To carry this one step further; I also think that the majority of men work to keep women out of their fields of endeavor because they fear women's intellectual abilities. At one time they only had to consider physical strength. This has been taken to the point of men believing they have the right to regulate women's bodies and health. It is particularly obvious in countries where women are considered second class citizens (if they are even considered citizens at all). Why this fear? I know men (not gay) who do appreciate the woman's ability to think. But they are not the majority.

Enough! I have other things to accomplish that are more important than sitting in front of a PC.

Talk to ya later.
