The problem with today’s left is they never ask, what’ next? They are great idea and feel good policy people but never ask, what’s next? For instance; the left constantly says we need to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 hour or a living wage. Sounds great. Makes them feel good. However; they never ask, what’s next? Does raising the minimum wage run small business owners out of business or force them to cut employees and or employee hours? What exactly is a living wage and how do we determine that? There are many more examples.

For instance the Green New Deal. When we get rid of cows and airplanes, who's going to pay for bridges to Australia, Japan, Europe and Hawaii? Who's going to pay for the millions of people (maybe even billions after a while) who are 'unwilling' to work, according to the deal, want their monthly paycheck? Who's going to grow more chickens, since beef is gone and we can't use pork - that's a no-no from Muslims...

Great example Emily D. How about, ban fossils fuels? Sound great to the climate change whack jobs. What’s next? Oh yea, energy costs skyrocket and we have less food and get to freeze to death.

The weather changed today. It rained for a while and then the sun came out.
(Dems: Today climate changed. The sun became hotter than any other day on May 25....everyone should take cover!)

I don't know, Seattle's minimum wage is $15 and what is their unemployment rate? Let's see, as of April of 2019 it is 2.9%. I believe nationally it is 3.6% so the answer to your question is that it won't have much impact at all. Plus it was always my experience that a business hires based on the number of customers who walk through the door not on how much an hour someone who services them costs. Then there is the fact that the minimum wage is seldom implemented in one fell swoop but is done in stages over a matter of years. Businesses, and customers, will have time to adjust to higher wages with only you conservatives running around like you've just had your heads cut off...

All too often Democrats try for too large of an initial increase and that is likely to cause a business to panic and increase the cost of their goods/services which will tend to leave the minimum wage worker in the same boat and possible worse one than they were previously in and those on a fixed income get screwed hard. If Democrats proposed smaller increases over perhaps a longer span I think it would fare better.
I am all for living wages as multiple wage earners typically don't improve the standard of living by much if any at all with child care typically eating up one of the incomes. Just don't try to get minimum wage up there so quickly as to cause wage shock to the employers.

What happens if the price of something that a business uses go’s up? If fuel is five bucks a gallon pizzas still get delivered the same is true with labor costs. 15 bucks an hour with yearly increases indexed to inflation would be great for the nation, right now we are subsidizing corporations who under pay employees.

The Unemployed Left Town
And That's Not A Snarky Remark
So Your Percent Has No Realistic Meaning
Like Obama's Unemployment Numbers
After The Labor Dept Stopped Including The People That Gave Up
Besides:
The Economy Has Vastly Improved
And Wages Have Increased As A Result
So There Were Plenty Of Follow-Up Reports And Analysis
On What Happened In Seattle
I Don't Need To Fish Back Up Years Old Reports

Not to mention the people no loner working poor will not be using government assistance. As things are now the taxpayer is subsidizing the labor costs of places like McDonalds and Walmart, let them pay for their employees.

So, Dems numbers are always meaningless while Repubs (and Trump's) numbers are always correct? Th Unemployed left town (and yea, the remark was snarky ), yeah right. Trump brags about his unemployment numbers. Are they just misguided air as well?

Obviously you've never run a business, such an inconclusive answer. Remember, those numbers don't count the number of people who have given up looking for a job. The govt. IMO has no business telling a U.S. Individual how much he has to pay anyone. A good business person pays what he has to keep quality help or he goes out of business.

Did you go to school with alexis occasional cortex, the reason I ask is because your understanding of economic seems to mirror hers. So you don't think doubling a business' cost of labor (labor usually represents 45-50% of revenue) from $7.25 to $15.00 will have that much affect, nah you're right the owner will absorb it from his profits !!!!!!
