On that basis you could say that Catholics have no business in this country much less in our government because of the worldwide epidemic of sexual abuse perpetrated by Catholic clergy. Clearly these people (Catholics) can’t be trusted and are all closet pedophiles.

Wrong. Catholic theology has no commandment to commit pedophilia.

Islamic theology has a perpetual commandment to convert everyone on earth or kill them, and it's reiterated numerous times in the Koran as well as in rote prayers required five times a day by each believer.

One commands against an antisocial behavior, the other commands FOR a draconianly antisocial behavior.

To be logical, you have to use logic AND knowledge. Read the Koran for yourself. There's only a little over 100 exhortations to kill, maim, and torture in perpetuity.

I've just spent about 3 hours trying to find out about this repeal. I could not. Can you give references please.

It appears that the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952 is alive and well.

I could not find any reference to Muslims in it. There are direct bans on Japanese, Chinese, and Filipinos. There are direct references to Cuba, Hawaii, Alaska, etc. And there is plenty of anti-Communism and anti-authoritarian verbiage. This could be construed to include Islamic ideologies to some degree.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/islam-banned-u-s-1952/

The Hart-Cellar Act of 1965 amended the 1952 act.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_Nationality_Act_of_1965

Again no reference to "Muslims" being banned in any fashion until Trump's Executive Order 13769. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_13769

However, I totally agree that voting in a Muslim is a highly risky business for the country. We have no idea what her allegiances are. But if she is of one of the sects that use lying to obtain their goal of world domination, then she is very dangerous and a traitor.

You are using two Leftist sites to research. That may have something to do with your results.

The original act had a prohibition against anyone entering the USA with significant ties to any organization promulgating the overthrow of the Constitution. Islam demands & teaches that the only valid law/s on earth are in the Sharia. It is entirely Constitutionally lawful to have had that clause since it targets ideologies, not religions; & behaviors, not races.

Try a search on a different search engine without a far Left bent.

Calling names? Sometimes I lost my patience, have to fight back, when they abuse. But as a Christian,
Jesus said:
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you".

I do kindness most of the times. But still they abuse when I am kind. They take advantage. So, I have to know the kind of people to deal with. For many are hypocrites. There are those whose goals are to eliminate Christians. Feed them with your hands, but they bite your hands.

Yes, Christianity is under attack for sure. You can worship Satan, Allah, Hoo Haw, or no one, but just mention that your a Christian and you'll get pounded from all sides and promptly told that the founding fathers wrote the 1st amendment to protect everyone from Christianity.
Actually the 1st amendment says that there shall be no state religion ( and this had happened in a few states) recognized, nor shall the free practice of your chosen religion be infringed. This simple statement has been twisted so out of proportion that it's almost unrecognizable today. I know that you are Catholic and you have the God given right to practice that religion, whereas I go to a Baptist church, but I claim no denomination, just that I am saved through the blood of Jesus, and I have the God given right to practice that. A Seventh Day Adventist has the God given right to pursue their chosen religion.
As for the Chinese being the first, I read about that a few months ago, and there seemed to be ample proof but had not been accepted at the time. I can't find the exact story but this is pretty much it;

This was published in 2015.
Yes, I have lost patience too. I went through name calling and the whole combobulation until I settled down to where I am now. These days, if I am called names, I tell the other party that name calling wins zero debates. That, or I try to "smack em' back with facts". I usually know when I have made my point because I get ignored. Have a good one.

There is no “war” on Christianity. There is, however, a war against Christians who try to impose their religion on others.

Muslims must not be allowed to live among the civilized people of the West. Their god prohibits them from being friends with Christians and Jews. So, they must go back to where they came from.

Dr. James Emery White wrote on crosswalk.com and asked "Are Christians in America under attack?" He mentions how the United States is becoming a secular country, and he is right. Not only is the United States very secular but also it is anti-Christian. He rightfully declares, however, that Christians in America are not persecuted nearly to the degree that they are in such places as "Nigeria, Iran, Pakistan, Egypt or Syria." He is right, we aren't; but it is increasing. Mr. White mentions the growing pressure to marginalize Christianity and ultimately dominate it by using law to suppress religious freedom. He cites the following:

Catholic Charities in Illinois shut down its adoption services rather than place children with same-sex couples (as the state required).
A Christian counselor was penalized for refusing to advise gay couples.
A court clerk in New York was told to issue same-sex marriage licenses despite religious reservations.
A wedding photographer was sued for refusing to shoot a same-sex wedding.

In each of the cases listed above, the Christians were not trying to impose their values on anyone else. Instead, the secularists were doing the imposing and using anti-discrimination laws to do it.

Good work, Dr. White. You're right on.

And this from The Washington Times;
Violence against Christians — like the bomb attacks that killed at least 311 people in Catholic churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday — has been escalating steadily over the past few years, international observers say.

In just the past few weeks, stark reminders of the danger Christians face around the world abound: an underground priest is dragged from his pickup truck in Xuanhua Diocese in China, a Christian couple in India are beaten by a father accusing them of trying to convert his son, 17 Christians are killed during a child dedication service in Nigeria.

Open Doors USA, a mission for persecuted Christians, estimates that violent attacks on the faithful doubled from 2017 to 2018, with approximately 11 Christians dying every day for their faith.

“There’s a specific pattern of violence around Christian holy days, such as Easter and Christmas,” said Sarah Cunningham, senior director of communications for Open Doors USA.

Nearly 50 worshippers were killed on Palm Sunday 2017 by bombers who targeted Coptic Christians in Cairo. That same year, at Bethel Memorial Methodist Church in Quetta, Pakistan, nine Christians were killed a week before Christmas by suicide bombers linked to the Islamic State.

Name ONE time a Christian tried to "impose" Christ on anybody. But did the gay community impose their lifestyle on Christians?...Why, yes they did.

Willful ignorance of a situation doesn't make it go away.

I am sorry that I reported in my last communications stating that Muslims could not hold an elected office in Congress! I was wrong. The information I relied on was passed on to me by a fellow trusted Christian, and i did not do a fact check on the issue! I would like for the claim to be true, but it is not, but, in my opinion there should be a law against it! So please, I apologize for this mistake, and from now on I will do a fact check on submissions from any source! Amen and Amen!

Sincerely, Ray P. Smith Sr.

Very manly of you to post a retraction. I understand how you feel, but we HAVE to put the constitution ahead of personal beliefs. We, by constitutional edicts, MUST allow any religion, any sex, any race, anybody to serve in government. We have to rely on the fact that people like Ilhan Omar, given time, will make their removal from office unavoidable.
Keep in mind that she is more of a radical.
Remember, also, when constitutional rights are denied, it will not be conservatives that do it.

Ray: if the 101st Congress "repealed" the McCarran Warner Act that means it is no longer a law. In other words, they are saying it is okay for Muslims to hold office. Not sure why this is an issue for you. Several self-proclaimed Neo nazis ran for office in the last election and I don't recall any outrage with that.

It’s also an issue to me. How can it not be for you and all of the rest of America. These Muslims are sworn to kill us all and rule the world. Get your head out of your ass and get with the program.. Maybe you should educate yourself, watch the news. Contact a citizen of Shri Lanka this morning, see how they feel about your beloved Muslims.....Maybe read the loss of all the Americans that have already been killed by these barbarians. 9/11?? Vote them into office and you will rules by them all the sooner. I’m shocked at your benevolence...
