Why do some people want Christians restricted to the four walls of the church building or a 2X2 square on college campuses?

It's nothing more than censoring free speech. If you don't want to read the posts skip them. How hard is that?

Never figured you for a snowflake. Faith and Christianity have never been able to be kept in a box. Prayer was kicked out of schools, has civility improved or gotten worse? Have fatherless homes grown or been reduced? Unplanned pregnancies? Drugs? Abortion? Murder rate? Politics? Love for one another? Divorce? Hollywood? Prisons? Are children safer? Check any stat since prayer and faith were put in a box to today's stats.

We kicked out the salt and light and things have become rotten. We may have the most powerful country since creation but we're losing our moral foundations. If the foundation fails so does all the rest. Just look at what happens to nations throughout history who have turned away from God. Death, destruction, exile, and people suffer and die horrible deaths and lose their freedoms. I prefer to be blessed rather than cursed. That's all. Why do the heathen rage? They love darkness and evil, light is a great disinfectant.

Faith and Christianity should always be on the main menu. IMHO. Reread your pocket Constitution. Wheat and tares always grow side by side and so do sheep and goats. When both are fully grown, then the judgment. If that message angers or scares you, you can always change or fast forward through the commercial. Be well, my friend. Freedom is messy at times but let freedom ring. Nothing scary about the Ten Commandments. It's kind of like a mirror. It shows our faults and where we fall short.

Remain skeptical until sufficiently confirmatory evidence convinces you.

It's sad that we are forced to read and respond to every post on a thread...
If only we had the free will to ignore a post...
Why we could skip right past it...

Perhaps if enough of us complain to Admin they will institute this option....

Love the idea of excommunicating people from the site

Might need to perform an exorcism for Singularity

Don't want to be hasty though... Perhaps we should see if she floats first... Might just call for a good oldfashion burning

God has only one name, it is the Hebrew tetragammaton--4 consonants that are non pronounceable as they stand. The Hebrew vowels were added in order to pronounce His name. In English the tetragammaton is YHWH. Means "I am who I am." Moses is the only prophet to whom God revealed His name. (Exodus 3), Elohim, Adonai, El, El Shaddai, and so on are titles, not proper names. Elohim, for example, simply means God or Lord. God and Lord are titles. When these titles are given in the Bible, they must be taken in context. Yahweh is how you pronounce His name. His only name.

The word "Christianity" may not appear in the Bible but Jesus and his religion are in the OT. Jesus fulfilled no messianic prophecy. He is dead and is the modern day idol of Israel. I challenge you to name just one prophecy from the OT that you claim Jesus fulfilled?

Isaiah 9:6. "...and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace". Zechariah 6:12. "...behold the man whose name is The BRANCH: and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord". SUSAN is The BRANCH. (Je)SUSAN. The name means "lily" and that is a recurring theme in the SOS and the Temple was ordained with lilies. Lilith was Adam's first wife, his mother, and his God. She wrongly gets a bad rap from the Jews as does Eve. Not only was Eve Adam's wife, she was also his daughter.

I was born Catholic, raised Baptist and grew up devoutly religious; saved, born again, and a frequent leader of the Sunday evening service at our church. Today, I am agnostic.

Former church-mates of mine are quite certain that I could not have been sincere if I am truly agnostic today. I have assured them, and now you, that I was as sincere then as I am now and I am as sincere as I can possibly be.

There may be a God, I don’t know, but the characterizations of God currently celebrated on planet Earth are pure fiction in my view.

Why do I say such a thing? Firstly, if God can truly do anything, why would He design a universe that cannibalizes itself at every level. Why would any omnipotent being create a system in which His greatest creations can only exist by destroying His other creations? The sadism in that design says nothing positive about a universal creator.

Secondly, if God is truly omniscient, knows all, past, present, future, He would have known from the very beginning of the pain and terror felt by every prey species and every mistreated child throughout the history of His Creations. Once again, the sadism in that behavior says nothing positive about such a universal creator.

Thirdly, if God really is omnipresent as advertised, He is an ever-present witness to all of the pain and agony, torture and death, loss and grief that He has designed into His creations. Finally, the sadism in that voyeuristic proposition says nothing positive about such a universal creator.

I do not object to anyone’s personal beliefs so long as they remain personal. I do not discourage any from their beliefs. I don’t know if it is possible to exist as a society without some omnipotent father figure somewhere in the mix. The current devaluation of the strong father archetype is having some very unfortunate and profound impacts on our ability to maintain and operate a civilized society. That is another of what I view as failures in the design.

It is not my goal here to attack or promote any belief. It is my intention to present an argument for open-mindedness. I know that is a difficult standard to maintain. It requires a constant review of one’s own feelings and information bases. It is not always a matter of conviction that leads us to separate conclusions. Sometimes it is merely a difference in point of view, or of information possessed, or of transient uncertainties.

Why do you blame God for the world's ills? He's not the author of any of this and is not what he wants. Man himself did this by not obeying God and doing his own thing. Same thing that we do today. We disobey and rebel.

When Adam and Eve rebelled in the Garden and disobeyed God the results are what we see today. God told them not to partake of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God told them what would happen if they did, that they would surely die. What did they do? They listened to the serpent who said God was a liar and nothing would happen. They believed him.

Before their rebellion this place was like heaven on earth. They didn't even know they were naked living in a lush green oxygen rich garden without a care in the world. It was pure bliss. Then sin entered in and that was it. Adam and Eve were banned from the garden, everything was cursed and so now here we are.

You blame God, the wrong one to blame. We are the ones who have strayed from God's original design for us and we are hell bent on continuing to do it today. Look all around us. You think God is doing this?

No, it is sinful man whose heart is evil continually who is doing it. God gave us all a choice and we continue to make the wrong ones. How is that God's fault? And his arm is stretched out still. That's a loving and forgiving God.

Not only is he merciful but he is oh so patient waiting on us to come to our senses. He even sent his only son to take all of our sin upon himself. He paid the ultimate price to reconcile us back to God the Father, save us from our sins that we may have everlasting life from everlasting to everlasting.

I say have yourself a sit down with him. Just you and just him don't bring nobody else. Just you and just him. Maybe you followed man and got a huge disappointment. God told us that would happen, now didn't he. He has told us everything, holding nothing back. You're mad at the wrong one.

Have a sit down with him and get it straightened out between you and him. Pour your heart out to him and tell him what is bothering you. Lay it at the foot of the cross and leave it there. He'll fix it. Just go to him and talk to him. Get your refreshing! It will be the best thing ever and you will be glad again. God bless.
