Yes, somewhat.

Can't say I am a supporter of second question.

I think I was likely 16 before he was but... I wouldn't say times have really changed that much, more like everyone is different.

I became very active in politics at that time...

The new provincial government introduced policies that affected me and I started to pay more attention to how our government functioned...

16 is far too young to vote in a federal election... I would allow them to vote in municipal elections if they were paying taxes (incone tax)..

I know...

My final year in high school we had a social studies class... On the final exam only six students could name the current Prime Minister... JC wasn't the best Prime Minister we ever had, but still said that most teenagers couldn't even name him....

The really terrifying part is that they feel so confident of the ignorance of the electorate!! It is manifestly obvious what a sixteen year old male child thinks about. The minimum voting age should be forty!!!

Absolutely not.

Very few 16 year olds take enough of an interest in politics to have a clue as to what they are actually voting for.

As it stands now, it's pretty obvious that at least a few million Democrat voters have no idea what they're voting for these days, and since they are very definitely winning the propaganda war (easily, since they are the only side that's waging it, plus they own the bulk of the media and the developing minds of public school students), it's just as obvious why they want the vote to fall into the hands of clueless adolescents.

That makes about as much sense as:

Lowering the age for military draft to 16,

Lowering the age to buy alcohol to 16,

Lowering the age to by tobacco to 16,

Lowering the age of consent to 16.

The human brain isn't fully matured until age 25-28. Let's get a bunch of kids that eat Tide pods to the voting booth to make sound decisions that affect everyone.

They want to lower it because kids are easily brainwashed.

Its all about votes and power not what’s best for the country

Democrats want this because they figure after all those years of indoctrination to liberalism in the public schools they will vote for them.
