I became interested in politics at six years old.

That's how popular J.F. Kennedy was.

Every child in America cried when JFK was assassinated.

Mostly because all of our parents were crying.......for days and days.

I had to find out why.

So I've been into politics since I was six years old.

When the draft was going on and tens of thousands of teens and men in their early 20s were being sent to their deaths in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia you can bet your ass 16 year olds were interested in politics, the lives of many of them were being taken without them having a say. At the same point in history corporations were fouling our air and water to the point that some rivers in the US routinely caught on fire. In many ways todays youth are in the same boat. They see a country that is defying the entire rest of the world in ignoring c*****e c****e and its painfully obvious results. They see the most corrupt administration in American history defying the constitution and norms of decency, separating children from their parents and putting them in kennels and cages. Handing over miles of our pristine lands and waters over to the extraction industry and destroying the public schools and higher education. This week over a million school children partook in a walkout protest against government inaction on environmental destruction. You bet 16 year olds are politically aware and are not happy with the actions of an old foolish crook who is running up a bill financially and environmentally that they will be forced to pay long after he gives up the ghost and is roasting on a dung heap in hell.

I'm sure the "school children" all got together and organized this "walkout". Liberals love using children to advance their agenda. Having dominated the educational system in America, they indoctrinate and "activate" these kids anytime it would be beneficial to their agenda. "It's for the children!" is their usual battle cry EXCEPT when it comes to a******n! Then, it's "K**L THE KID, it's for the women!"

16 year olds may be politically aware, however, they are NOT politically savvy. Civics is not even being taught in schools today. I wonder if liberal educators planned it that way for a purpose. Half of the people in Congress don't understand how government is supposed to work.

Being "aware" is totally different from being "knowledgeable".

No way they still don't think straight at 16 or even 18 it should remain 21 unless serving in the military because then you have skin in the game.

Yes, when I was 16 I was very interested in politics and in the public welfare. However, I don't think the v****g age should be lowered to 16. Teenagers are too impulsive as a whole, and liable to be swayed by popular ideologies.

When I was 16, I grew up in a community in Long Island populated by wealthy "Limosine Liberals" One such family helped fund Black Activist Angela Davis' Defense fund. One summer she came down to our pool and boat club to speak with neighbors about her beliefs and philosophy. The only thing I was interested in was the sordid details of life in a womens' prison. I asked her if she was raped by a Lesbian matron. She told me to grow up. Nearly 5 decades later, that still hasn't happened.

Hope your parents and other adults explained to you that a Democrat who had spent time in the Soviet Union murdered our president. Unfortunately that information was not released at that time. We need to teach our children and grandchildren the t***h about the assination so they they don't buy into the Progressive propaganda.

Kevyn, your post is so filled with nonsense and falsities that I don't know where to start. First of all, when I was 16 the only thing I was interested in was girls, fishing and baseball, in that order. If someone told me I would be going to a great University to study Economics, I would have told them they were nuts. We do
learn priorities as we acquire knowledge and education. Sixteen year olds v****g? No way. Because they are interested in politics is not a good reason to say they are capable of making good judgments. That part about rivers catching on fire is a myth. I am familiar with the time the Cuyahoga River in Ohio allegedly caught on fire in the 60's. It was once and it was a residue of spilled oil. It did make every paper in the Country. You should read more about c*****e c****e from some of the 31000 scientists who think it is absurd. If you would like, I can send you lots of good info from people who are not depending on grants from government or owing to any one entity. Separating children from their parents? BS! How the heck would you keep the children together with their lawbreaking parents? Lawbreakers go to jail. You don't usually put kids in jail. I know, it makes for better sounding press to say cages and separating children from their parents. If they would use the prescribed entry points, there would be no problem. Did you react the same way when Obama did the exact thing? Kennels and cages my ass! Get a life!

Total crazy, 16 yrs old know very little about politics, If I had teenagers in the house and they were able to v**e they would not v**e for i***ts advocating stupid things like this, You think i******s should v**e unless they were v****g Republican, you are seeking to weaken the American v**ers, all you are seeking is power, you care less about what the American citizen thinks or wants, actually I believe you want to destroy what America stands for Look at socialist countries around the world, the people in those countries are not happy, You want to force America into another civil war, because that is where you are headed the average American citizen is fed up with the demoncratic way of doing everything, you have no idea how to be honest

As far as the age to v**e goes, I think it should be the exact same age to buy a gun.

Question #1. Interested in politics at 16? No since there were no tvs and minimal exposure to radio or printed material and no one even discussed it. Even then most people I heard discussing politics figured everyone in DC was on the take and were not concerned with the people.
And we didn't have teachers pushing an agenda either.

Question #2, 16 v****g age. Looks like an experiment to determine how effective the Dem's brainwashing has been on the schools. Please keep it from happening.

My parents were very involved in local politics and I always thought that my parents knew why people should v**e with them, BUT I had no idea what or why there were differences. I sure as heck know NOW! We v**e for FREEDOM or for a Marxist, Socialist, C*******t Nation. Pick one.

I was very interested in politics at 16, and i probably knew more about the school district then than i do now. I think however, another 2 years is a good time to have the v**e. I think teens have a more mature veiwpoint by then.
