Yes, I will,, and they have already declared that,,,which is what I said.

I think the answer would be "destroying it". Christians and straights have bastardized it, but it has remained the same in concept as originally conceived. While I too served and believe in equal rights for everyone, I don't think that includes the actual system of marriage. Gays could have just as many rights under a civil union as a marriage without destroying the institution of marriage. Will you feel the same way when a group comes into power and says you no longer have the right to pray in a church? Or teach the Word of God publicly because it may offend someone? Sound like foolishness? Look at every communist country... there are thousands still in prison for those exact offenses. And yes, I am comparing "apples to apples".

Falls under the right to pursue happiness. It isn't constitutional, just a little something the founding fathers believed in. What I will never understand is why gays feel that they have to be "married" since marriage is a religious ceremony which doesn't line up with the beliefs of most gays. I simply don't get why they can't be satisfied with a "civil union" which would give them the benefits (health care, end-of-life decisions, inheritance, etc.). I understand that it is their way of forcing themselves into the mainstream, just don't get their way of thinking other that it is simply another example of "sense of entitlement" which is rampant throughout our society. The reason I suggest a civil union is that it wouldn't be so offensive to those of us who use the bible as the standard for marriage. Whether you believe the bible is the living word of God or not, it IS (old testament) where the marriage ceremony originates.

No man nor government can legitimately bestow "rights". Human rights are born with, thereby making individuals sovereign entities to live as they please as long as they don't infringe on others' sovereignty.

I don't think the Christ was talking about child abuse in that reference.

On these two points I diverge from your line of thought.

In combat,,, I saw men governed by their passions be destroyed.....
It was a passionate mob,,, who killed the "Christ"

I will stay in my own lane,,, that is what I was taught and survived,,,, most of these here, never faced a decision wherein the end, someone will die.

Once you do, you stick to the plans, and do your duty, and your duty only,,, same with God,,, he will call me, if he needs me,,,, he is not waiting for me to tell him what to do.

And that includes the anti-Christian bigotry on the left,,,

I couldn't care less what consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms. It doesn't affect me, so I see no reason to judge them. All Americans have the same unalienable rights. All deserve to live their lives as they see fit, as long as it does not impinge on others' rights.

Bigotry is NOT an American value!

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you may be one of those fair-weather Christians...
...How can you, late in life, decide that God's Word should bend, especially when it states they are worthy of death? You should be helping them to release this curse that God gave them up to, not helping them into spiritual death.

At the risk of further explosions...

As a non-Christian, I do not give Christians the right to tell me how to use my genitals. Perhaps this might make it more clear.

Religion is like a penis.
Its fine to have one.
Its fine to be proud of it.
But please don't whip it out in public and wave it around!
And don't try to shove it down my childrens' throats! -www.atheistmemebase.com-

Yet, when moses stood on the mountain top looking into the promissed land, he had one mountain for the reward and one group for the punishment,,,,,, not a single one of those punishments included homosexuality,,, but it did specify sex with family, animals, slaves etc,,,,I cannot spout chapter and verse, and will have to review it,,, but I thought it was strange that homosexuality was NOT there, because the list was pretty exhaustive.

While it may scare you, there is the more need to consider the passage in its context, because you wouldn't want to avoid abusing children, while abusing those entering the kingdom of God. Which is the context of the story.

Can you think of a better way to reduce the problem of fatherless children? LGBT marriages don't produce any.

In fact, many LGBT couples adopt, nurture, care for and EDUCATE those abandoned or abused, unwanted but unaborted human children of Christians ... after they are born.

Not fair to assume the unwanted are chrisitian abandonned children,,, I would say, though those persons think they are they really are not.... and then you have some poor young girl christian or not who fell for some smooth bs,,, and in that case the noble-er decision is to put the baby up for adoption rather than bore a hole in the back of its head and scramble its brains while it screams and kicks.........

But the reality is, that abortions are primarily due to convenience and the fact they are funded by the govt not for the "health" of the mother, like the left lies about

Homosexuality is not an illness, there is no 'treatment', no shame and no problem.
If someone is homosexual and you don't like it, fine. But you have no right to PUNISH anyone for it. If it disgusts you or makes you puke, you MAY have a psychological or medical issue underlying that or you may just be undereducated or an asshole. Or you may be religious.

I just wish someone could show me where anyone has a "constitutional right" to marry. I don't understand why the Supreme Court whose only legitimate function is to decide the constitutionality of a law would allow this trampling on our founding documents. I also don't understand why every state that had a law prohibiting sodomy was told by activist federal judges that their laws were unconstitutional. What part of the constitution allows same-sex marriage and addresses sodomy? The federal government has never issued a marriage license and should have no influence on an issue that is completely a state issue. The Supreme Court has severely damaged its credibility by becoming involved in political issues that are NOT addressed by the constitution.

I live in Utah, and we were the first state to be told by a federal judge that they have the right to marry. Now Michigan is fighting but Utah is leading the charge. Stay tuned. We will soon see if the majority is no longer the ones who have any rights at all.
