Agreed. Years ago, while researching a different aspect of citizenship, I read that the U.S. does not recognize dual citizenship. As part of an immigrant’s naturalization process, they are told/made to renounce any and all allegiance to the country from which they came. However, regardless of that, we know that those with dual citizenship do vote. The name that comes to me at present is Ted Cruz, though he ultimately renounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014(?) obviously he has voted numerous times. Should they be allowed to vote? In my opinion, no, for reasons alluded to in the opening post.
