Gotta love their sympathy for actual criminals all the while wanting to lock others up that have never been convicted of any crimes. That seems to be the nature of the republican party now days, lock up the innocents and let loose the criminals.

Excuse me but wasn't it Mr.Trump that just push to relieve federal maximum sentences for non violent crimes and received accolades from the Black community, and isn't you birds that want to toss Manafort into a Super Max, 300 feet underground until he rots because he befriended Trump?

The stupid judge said Manafort led a "blameless" life. Amazing.

The judge was pissed at Mewler's malicious prosecution. Hope someone does the same to anyone who thinks this is OK.

White collar criminals go to minimum security "resorts", they don't go to any "real" prisons.

I'm sorry. I forgot to hit the satire button when commenting with you. You do know he was kept in solitary for 90 days. Was that cruel and unusual and a measure of a judge flexing unnecessary muscle on a 74 year old man?

How does he keep jumping to 74 years old? He is only 69 and judges have nothing to do with inmate placement in a prison, what prison yes, what part of the prison, no.

I really think it was fair sentence.....What i dont think is fair that being as sick as he is he gets to be in isolation for all these months.....Even serial murderer is treated better then Manafort was and is...He is 74 yrs old ,in bad health, can hardly move, has to use wheel chair and cane...I dont see why he has to be isolated from everyone...He get out only for an hour....It is not fair and not right!!!!.....His lawyer needs to complain!!!...That's just my opinion...

Remember the FBI declined to indict Manafort on these charges years ago, but once he became a Trump associate he became a target. It's an appalling abuse of power. ALL these indictments are. It is akin to suborning perjury, persecuting people until they are bankrupt and plead guilty. And NONE of them have anything to do with Russian collusion. It's sickening.

I'm not the keeper of his bio so his age is relatively unimportant. However, I believe the judge sentenced him to solitary in his pretrial confinement for 90 days before he was sentenced with no visitation rights. That was cruel and unusual for a 69 year old white collar non violent crime. I suspect 89 of those days were because he was once a Trump surrogate but, of course, no judge would do something like that. Especially a progressive judge right?

The judge has no say in how an inmate is housed, only in what facility he is housed in.
