It has been before. The district judges are appointed by the President just like the Attorney General, approved by Congress. They serve at his pleasure and can fire then for cause. Yes he has that power.

I don’t think that is right. Apparently there is an additional mechanism besides impeachment, within the court system itself, in which a complaint against ‘good behaviour’ can be ‘tried’ resulting in the removal of a judge, but it is not commonly used. So DJT, along with anyone else, could raise such a complaint - but he can’t just remove them.

But, but, but.....you don't understand! I've read books, and technical manuals about flying, and maintaining jets, so I'm a qualified fighter pilot, and jet mechanic.
The fact that I didn't understand more than half of what I read has no bearing on it. I read it! Even the words I couldn't pronounce!
Same thing with this guy. He's an expert on the border because he read something about it.
No need to listen to people who actually do the job, and see it every day.
His expertise far surpasses theirs because he read something.
