So now, can you give me an example of the Creator purposely confusing his people.

From the Bible?
Or life?

We were speaking of the Creator.

Yes...
Does He not influence our everyday life?

Fair enough....

May I have a minute?
I will provide the quote...
Old Testament is fine, yes?

Would Exodus 7:1-5 suffice?

7:13-14 as well

No harm, no foul...

It makes more sense concerning what we were discussing...

Paul had some interesting ideas concerning God... As he was not a prophet I tend to have less faith that his word is the actual word of God...

The next few quotes seem to verify my stance (at least to me)

When did you become a biblical scholar or are you just stating your personal opinion and interpretation as have most heretics even from Paul's time when he was fighting against Gnostics?

I don't believe I have ever claimed to be a biblical scholar...
I was responding to a quote offered by another member of the forum...
Do you consider Paul a prophet?

Are personal attacks all you have to offer to the conversation?
My discussion with Byronglimish has been most civil and enlightening... As well as provocative... I enjoy being challenged, when it is done civily and respectfully...

During the exodus and even later wars, the Creator performed all of manner of derision and confounding to the Isrealite enemies, he wasn't confusing "his" people.

Well said...

I direct you to your original query concerning the Lord and confusion..

Quote (Byronglimish):
"Do you think the Creator is the author of confusion?"

There are instances where He is indeed the author of confusion... Agreed?

Not to people who submit to his will, I should have clarified that point.

The confused are not adhering to his word.

In the beginning he brought light to the darkness.

In the book of Daniel there is a prophecy of knowledge being increased, in the latter days.

But people who don't believe, they will remain confounded.

We're any of the apostles old testament type of prophets? No! The last one of those was John the Baptist. If in your uninformed opinion you believe Paul did not speak the Word of God, for whatever reason, then the same must apply to the rest of the Apostles Jesus chose. Of course that is sheer folly and nonsense and was an error in need of correction.

Thanks... I agree that He would not intentionally confuse a follower of His will...

Though I maintain that He would encourage us to dwelve into our confusions in the hope that we will learn from them and grow as individuals...

I have always loved the opening of Genesis...
I was raised in an atheist/agnostic household and will always remember the first time I read the Book of Genesis... Those first few words resonated with me...

The Apostles reported and recorded the words and life of Jesus...

Paul did not...

There is a reason to separate the Gospels from the rest of the New Testament...

And I will kindly ask you to refrain from ad hominem attacks... They are distasteful in a discussion on faith... My gratitude in advance..

Some biblical scholars say that the earth had became chaos and confusion.."bohu and tohu" I think the words were.

Lucifer was cast to the earth before man was created, say some too.
