Will it be how the left made villains out of people like Christopher Columbus? I wonder. The left has their own agenda of rewriting what was once truth and making it ugly.

The fact is, sometimes the truth is ugly, that doesn't mean we should start changing the history of it to fit anyone's agenda.

Agreed, but that is absolutely no excuse for not doing one's homework on any official being considered for any office.
Going back to my day aka signing off.

Columbus was a monster who puts ISIS to shame. History usually glosses over atrocities because it is too gruesome for the masses.

What I don’t get is why they call themselves progressives. That has to be an oxymoron statement. Or at least a moronic statement. They are the most REgressive
Party that this country ever had. They haven’t had a coherent thought , especially in the last two years. Every thing they have passed was either illegal, think Obamacare,
Self serving, or tax heavy. The REgressive party of America is a very apt name for democrats.

Ah, another far new righty once again trying to do the ol flip flop. Progressives are the ones moving forward, and the "conservatives" are the ones fighting it the entire way and their focus is to always maintain the status quo. If it weren't for progressives women and people of color still wouldn't be able to vote. Nope, it's the REpublicans that ARE the REgressives, always going against any new changes.

I know moldy, I just wasn't gonna get into that on the post, but yeah you are correct. Columbus never made it here, though Leif Ericsson's landing in North America about five centuries prior.

It remains a significant event in history and is generally deemed by historians as the start of the Colonial Period (1492-1763). His arrival "marked the beginning of one of the cruellest episodes in human history," as historian Kenneth C. Davis puts it.

How Columbus got the credit I'm not sure.

Quick observation, since. When does politics dictate what truths are in history?
Last check facts are still facts.
None can be changed to serve anyone's agenda. It just is,like it or not.

That is true on the "FACTS". But what happens when authors change the facts in their books and then they are taught as facts to the up and coming generations? Unfortunately, politics can dictate everything, especially when in an authoritarian position, say the head of a local school board. At one point King Henry the eighth tried to dictate to the Pope. Some People in power will try and push the envelope every time, it's these people who want to be supreme rulers over the people and the people to be watched and smacked down.

Do you think Columbus was the discoverer of our country? North America?

Funny I would have to say the people who discovered America, were the ones already here when we got here. LOL, But we annihilate them.

No! Columbus was a invading force of terrorism in central and southern America.

Do you think our history of the Alamo is the same as Mexico's?

Every war that we are dragged into is based on lies.

Now THAT depends on whose notion of "moving forward" you are basing your "opinion" on. Now, lets see.....

"Moving forward" to being run over by illegal aliens, SOME of which are gangsters, cartel members, human traffickers, drug mules, rapists, murderers, and just everyday run of the mill criminals.
"Moving forward" to higher taxes, 70% if Cortez gets her way.
"Moving forward" to terrible trade deals with our "friends" while they chant death to America and burn our flag.
"Moving forward" to LGBT prominence ( no problem with LGBT people) that make up only 4.5% of our population but are receiving preeminence. ( NOT democracy ).
"Moving forward" to national ridicule by little laughable countries.
"Moving forward" to history being rewritten to suit those who just "don't like it".
"Moving forward" to dissolvement of the constitution.
"Moving forward" to Sharia law.
"Moving forward" to poor economics ( or just slow as evidenced by the last eight years of a democratic POTUS)
"Moving forward" to a small weak military and the possibility of being over taken by a stronger country.
"Moving forward" to socialism.

We're not fighting progress, at least not real actual progress, and you can't say what progress is because your people use relative truth, they just make up what they WANT the truth to be. What WE are fighting for is to stop us from going over the edge of s chasm.
