Trump will not budge, he seems to be going for broke....
Pelosi and Schumer who once we're for the wall now suddenly are refusing the wall.

So whose fault is it really for the shutdown?

The Democrats want a shutdown just so they can blame Trump. Trump is willing to have a shutdown in order to try and gain more border secrity. The ones with the wrong motives are to blame.

Trump very publicly said he would be proud to shut it down, he owns it. Trump will get no better deal than he already refused once the Democrats take control of the house. At this juncture the question to ask is will president Pence shut down the government if he dosn’t get Trumpty Dumptys Wall, and at this juncture it’s very unlikely. Trump at this point should forget his racist iron curtain and start worrying about the wall he is likely to be seeing up close from the exercise yard at Leavenworth prison.

Congress has not passed a spending bill, and they do not need the presidents permission, or approval, to do so.

Kevyn, before you send Trump to the gallows, I got a movie you must see. Consider for a moment if you have an open mind, that Trump is Senator Smith, and Schumer is Senator Payne. And James Taylor is the Democrats. Nothing has changed since the movie was made in 1939, this American drama film starring Jean Arthur and James Stewart about one man's effect on American politics. If you haven't seen this movie lately, I would recommend watching online. Harry Carey, Jr. is the Vice President(President of the Senate)

The film opens as a succession of reporters shouting into telephones announcing the death of Senator Samuel Foley. Senator Joseph Paine, the state's senior senator, puts in a call to Governor Hubert "Happy" Hopper reporting the news. Hopper then calls powerful media magnate Jim Taylor, who controls the state along with the lawmakers. Taylor orders Hopper to appoint an interim senator to fill out Foley's term. Taylor has proposed a pork barrel bill to finance an unneeded dam at Willet Creek, so he warns Hopper he wants a senator who "can't ask any questions or talk out of turn." After having a number of his appointees rejected, at the suggestion of his children Hopper nominates local hero Jefferson Smith, leader of the state's Boy Rangers group. Smith is an innocent, wide-eyed idealist who quotes Jefferson and Lincoln and idolizes Paine, who had known his crusading editor father.

In Washington, after a humiliating introduction to the press corps, Smith threatens to resign, but Paine encourages him to stay and work on a bill for a national boy's camp. With the help of his cynical secretary Clarissa Sanders, Smith prepares to introduce his boy's camp bill to the Senate. But when he proposes to build the camp on the Willets Creek site, Taylor and Paine force him to drop the measure. Smith discovers Taylor and Paine want the Willets Creek site for graft and he attempts to expose them, but Paine deflects Smith's charges by accusing Smith of stealing money from the boy rangers. Defeated, Smith is ready to depart Washington, but Saunders, whose patriotic zeal has been renewed by Smith, exhorts him to stay and fight. Smith returns to the Senate chamber and, while Taylor musters the media forces in his state to destroy him, Smith engages in a climactic filibuster to speak his piece.

Although all hope seems lost, the senators begin to pay attention as Smith approaches utter exhaustion. Paine has one last card up his sleeve: he brings in bins of letters and telegrams from Smith's home state from people demanding his expulsion. Smith vows to press on until people believe him, but immediately collapses in a faint. Overcome with guilt, Paine leaves the Senate chamber and attempts to commit suicide by shooting himself. When he is stopped, he bursts back into the Senate chamber, loudly confesses to the whole scheme, and affirms Smith's innocence.

Consider the "Boys Camp" to be the Border Wall. Now, if you had an open mind you can see my point, however if you do not have an open mind your reply to this would be similar to the message I am responding to.

Check this out, we hear people condemning hate speech, yet your response can be considered hate speech. You already have trump Tried and Convicted. Hell you have him in Leavenworth. Don't you think that is hate speech?

That is true, even if Trump vetoes the bill passed by the House and Senate, Congress can override the veto.

When a spending bill reaches President Trump's desk, then and only then, will be able to keep his promise, and continue the existing shutdown, with his veto.

Of course he will have many future chances, with every funding bill that does reach his desk.

You have put a new spin on the border wall. No one has mentioned, and I had not thought of the possibility of Trump making a profit on the wall. Worth looking into.

>>>

Both parties are to blame but mostly democrats... totally dysfunctional.

Please look into Plans B = ConventionOfStates.com Article V to redress and vote to remove all officials from D.C. closing their offices forever sending them back to their home states for prosecution and Hanging.

at the same time prepare and connect with Plan C to enforce the above... Plan C = Citizen Militias to Occupy Washington to make sure they vacate.

How’s that sound ?
