Constitution of the United States

Article I, Section 1,

All legislative powers granted herein shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and a House of Representatives.

Bill of Rights

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation charter ostensibly promotes the separation of church and state and educates the public on matters relating to atheism, agnosticism, and nontheism.

Educate the public, speeches, literature, radio programs, essay contests, and the like. OK, no problem so far, right?

Wrong! Ignore the free exercise of religion by the Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Wiccans, Satanists, and Atheists, leave those religions alone and go after the Christians (and Jews). Sue them, take them to court, tear down their crosses and crucifixes, ban their Bibles, condemn their holidays, mock their God and their faith in Him, bully America’s public schools and local authorities, force them to remove any semblance of anything Christian from the public sphere. Impose the FFRF religion of naturalism (atheism) on American culture.

FFRF was founded in 1978. Since then FFRF has filed thousands of lawsuits against Christians and Judeo-Christian institutions, social programs and initiatives. FFRF has sued at least three US presidents (National Prayer Breakfasts and Faith based initiatives), several state governors, the US military, county commissioners and boards of supervisors, universities, schools and school districts, faculty members, PTAs, athletic teams, athletes and cheerleaders, university chaplains, Christian churches, pastors, Jewish synagogues, rabbis, the National Park Service, WW2 Memorial, Holocaust Museum, 9/11 Memorial museum, IRS, our national motto, the Ark project and creation museum, book publishing companies, editors, authors, and lawyers. The list goes on.

In 1999, FFRF established the Emperor has no clothes award. This award is given in recognition of "plain speaking" on the shortcomings of religion by public figures. Recipients include Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Jesse Ventura, George Carlin, Ted Turner, Janeane Garofalo, Cenk Uygur, Dan Savage, and others. Public figures exercising their 1st amendment right to free speech to condemn our 1st amendment right to freely practice religion. Hypocrisy on public display.

The FFRF's methods of educating the public is intimidation, coercion, condemnation and protests through our legal system and anti-religion propaganda. These assaults are a direct violation of the establishment clause in the 1st amendment.

Are any of the other groups you mention advertising their beliefs under color of gov't endorsement? Many Christians proselytize in schools, a crystal clear violation of the establishment clause. A Jewish child may not be made to recite a Christian prayer. Don't tell me this has never happened; literally hundreds of school districts mandated prayer.
The First Article means what you do in private is fine, within the law, but you neither need nor should desire public funds to be spent in its promotion. That is exactly the entirety of FFRF's effort.

Bullshit. The FFRF is committed to complete elimination of Judeo-Christianity from American society. The FFRF is an atheist hate group, pure and simple.

The sole purpose of the establishment clause is to prohibit the government from establishing a state religion, so, tell us, genius, is reading the Bible, praying to Yahweh, or even speaking of Jesus in a public school legislating for the establishment of a state religion? Is the free practice of Christianity in a public school a violation of the establishment clause? And, if you actually think so, then why are public schools teaching Islam and providing facilities for Muslim students to pray? In some public schools, the Koran is an officially approved text book.

In the early days of America, the Holy Bible was the primary text for all students. BIBLE IN AMERICAN SCHOOLS 1700-1900

Pew Research, Center for Studies on New Religions, Religious Tolerance Institute, and others put the number of Wiccans in America somewhere between 750,000 and 1.5 million, 0.4% of the population. The number of Presbyterians is close to 6 million. 75% to 80% of Americans are Christians.

Here's the bottom line: The godless reprobates, the atheist vipers and snakes, can ban Christianity entirely, burn down our churches, destroy our institutions, and close our ministries, but they will never remove the Spirit of God from our souls and our love of Jesus from our hearts. Even if they kill us. Or, try to at least.

You're secure in your "Christianity"? And yet you "who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them."

Who says I practice such things "deserving of death"?! You've said some truly idiotic things before, but this wins the prize. Maybe you should move to Saudi Arabia where your beliefs are not that uncommon, and you could better satisfy your blood lust.

Do you have proof that destruction of churches are done by atheist and not done by racially motivated individuals? I haven't seen institutions proven to be attacked by a particular group, mostly by some random nut case...well we have them in every group, don't we? If you want to be pissed or hateful, hate the person who has done the deed and not people from an associated group who never had even a thought of doing what the nut job did. That would be the same as people calling All Christians murders at the time when some Christians kept bombing abortion clinics. Unless you also feel that act to righteous and them to be above the law to commit murder? Maybe this was a poor example. My point, do we then call all Christain's Murderers? Being Christian based, I wouldn' appreciate that.

There were quite a few black churches burned by decent, God-fearing Christians in the South.

Yes, a lot, any religious buildings, and yes to even a mosque, are extremely hateful crimes, but the crime is to the offender alone and/ or with the others who worked with him. This is what some here in the states don't realize, there can be just as many hateful Christians, feeling they are doing God's rightful duty, just as they are (extreme Muslims) feel they are on the same crusade, but ironically they don't see the same ignorant parallels.

Have you made a leap of faith that black churches were burned down by white Christians practicing their faith or is this merely an assumption?
