I care nothing at all about proving or disproving climate change. My comment is for those who either oppose science automatically as an enemy of religion or bother to question it from the Bible: both are absurd. This is proven.

i have a problem with your attack on corp.i worked for one of the largest chem cos in the world and they were studing these climate problems in the 60s years before the collage students in cali. started working on it.the difference in their work was the students were to prove a negitave the co.just wanted to see if there was upper atmosphere damage..

I am listening. I doubt that you are. I may be reading you wrong , but here is how I perceive your position. You seem to believe that listening to the Global Warmers is like an insurance policy. They may be wrong, but what if they are right? It don't hurt to listen to them . It does not hurt to implement their policies, just in case.

However, that position is incredibly wrong headed. Lets stay with insurance. We all buy insurance to manage risk. We all buy fire insurance just in case our home burns down. What if the cost of that fire insurance was so high that we could not afford to live in our home? We might say that the cost for insurance is too high for such a remote risk.

Now many of us have brought up the high cost in lost jobs resulting from the Global Warming battle. You seem to never weight that cost. And it is in the Trillions.

Nothing we can do about China. we can only police ourselves. When enviornmental laws become unreasonable and unachievable they need to be scrapped. We still have to keep things from getting out of hand so rules do have to be in place.

I dare you to tell me that any environmental laws will ever be scrapped, unreasonable or unachievable, as long as Obama and his Kommissars in the EPA are in charge. I double dog dare you.

Italian Judge Orders Shutdown of Dirty Coal Units Responsible For Hundreds of Deaths

While Italy is the home of small towns that can survive on renewable energy, it’s also home to a power plant with two dirty coal units that a prosecutor blames for hundreds of deaths and hospitalizations.

Florence Giorgi, an investigating judge of the court of Savona, on Tuesday ruled in favor of prosecutor Francantonio Granero’s request to turn off two coal-fired units at the Vado Ligure power plant in Northern Italy, Italian news site Rai News reported. The public prosecutor’s office wants to seize control of the units from Tirreno Power, which the office says caused 442 deaths from 2000 to 2007 with its emissions.

Additionally, about 450 children were hospitalized for respiratory diseases and asthma attacks in the area between 2005 and 2012, the office said.

Investigators accused John Gosio—the plant’s general manager, who resigned a few weeks ago—and plant manager Pasquale D’Elia of causing an environmental disaster. Granero also said in February that he had been investigating the plant and its operators for manslaughter. A third, unnamed official was also included in the investigation.

According to Reuters, Tirreno Power said its technical and legal teams would respond soon to the ruling after examining the decision. The company says it has always operated in full compliance with the law in a responsible fashion.

Enel, Italy’s biggest utility, built the plant in 1971, but sold it in 2003. The plant has had an 800-megawatt (MW) natural gas capacity, along with its coal units’ 330-MW capacity.

The court has not announced a shutdown or phase-out plan for the units. The plant is also half-owned by French company GDF Suez. According to Rai News, Tirreno Power believes there is no basis for the decision.

“It is not clear what was the method of assessment of exposure to pollutants,” the company said in a statement. “This lack of clarity is accompanied by the absence of a duty analysis of robustness, sensitivity and, thus, overall reliability of the method used.”

The planet has re-warmed to higher temperatures after each of the past three Ice Ages. What makes you believe it to be any different now? No Man Caused Global Warming believer has answered this simple question yet. Would you care to answer it? The question is....When the Planet Earth was in a heating cycle 15 years ago, the Planet Mars was also in a heating cycle. Why?

Picking up litter isn't remotely related to the Man Caused Climate Change scare.

I believe Fom was saying cleaning up the environment is important, whether one believes in climate change or not. Litter is man-made "stuff". Any help to the planet counts.

I believe that's a practice that Socialist Democrat supporters would probably engage in. A stupid question deserves a stupid answer.

Since you won't dump used oil down the storm drain you are doing your part. Now can you kindly quit it with the Socialist Democrat stuff?
