Sarge, I, too, left this forum for awhile because I found myself becoming angry and responding angrily at what we allowed Progressives do to our nation. I certainly did not spend a carreer in the military to allow them to fundamentally change America in the perverse way they have. Having briefly returned to OPP, I find that, once again, I'm quickly losing any tolerance for "them" and intend to soon seek greener pasture. Someone will know where those more reasonable commentators abide.
Elie Weisel, holocaust survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner, well summed up my concern when he wrote: "A man comes to Sodom hoping to save the city. He pickets. What else can he do? He goes from street to street, from marketplace to marketplace, shouting,'Men and women, repent. What you are doing is wrong. It will kill you, it will destroy you.' They laugh, but he goes on shouting, until one day a child stops him. 'Poor stranger, don't you see it is useless?' 'Yes,' the just man replies. 'Then why do you go on?' 'In the beginning' he says, 'I was convinced that I would change them. Now I go on shouting because I don't want them to change me.'"
God save us from resorting to extreme violence again.

It's what we have allowed conservatives to do to the nation over the last 50 years that hurts so bad. The United States is in the midst of a nervous breakdown because of it. The cult of meritocracy has morphed into an aristocracy of entrenched elites determined to defend their moats and make them selves rather than America great agai. Drump told us if we give corporations a 40 % tax break fout to five trillion would be repatriated and spent creating good paying jobs. To date only $448 billion has been a tad went to one time bonus the bulk went for excutive bonus investor dividends and mostly to stock buy backs to boost share value
