When I retired from teaching in 1988 there were only 2 Dems out of a faculty of 20 in our high school staff, and they (me and a friend) had become Dems only 4 years earlier. Possibly the proportion has changed in the past 26 years and possibly college professors are proportionately higher percent Dem, but otherwise I think it rather doubtful that educators tend to be Dems...except here in Wisconsin where Scott Walker's taking $7000 out of teacher salaries has probably made the educator Dem percentage near 100%. :P

Rod good post. The only thing Im not sure about is that Yanukovych went to Turkey for cover. I was under the impression that he went directly east into Russia and was given asylum by Putin.
