I've tried that, but Obama raises his beastly head again..and then, I feel that saying something about his blatant treason against the Republic is unavoidable.

Dying doesn't make you a saint. McCain was NOT a great man. I HAVE researched his life and found his life a tale of falsehoods. He HATE President Trump with all his might.

The "depth of pettiness" belongs to those even now who make it a point to criticize President Trump's every word, action and deed. Pathetic...

You are right on point with that post.

Thanks for saying that. 'tis true! every thought, word, action, deed and condolence.
If you don't want someone at your funeral (McCain told Trump this), you die with a nasty attitude.
Yipes. We must all do some repenting before we go, before it's too late. Let it go....

Lol, the depth of pettiness in this man knows no end. Of course he cannot say nothing, but he sort of managed to say nothing with his tweet (and not a public statement):

@realDonaldTrump

My deepest sympathies and respect go out to the family of Senator John McCain. Our hearts and prayers are with you!

No recognition of McCain as a man who faithfully served this nation for decades. Pence was more presidential...and human.

Vice President Mike Pence

Karen and I send our deepest condolences to Cindy and the entire McCain family on the passing of Senator John McCain. We honor his lifetime of service to this nation in our military and in public life. His family and friends will be in our prayers. God bless John McCain.

But if you want to read truly presidential and decent, read Obama's words here: https://deadline.com/2018/08/john-mccain-donald-trump-tweet-snub-death-barack-obama-meghan-mccain-1202452308/

If you consider that no matter what President Trump might say, the left will pick it apart as insincere, just as you're doing, I'd say less is more in this case. Besides, all your buddies in the Democrat party have already canonized him, so why bother. If you put enough coats of white paint on something, hell...even Cathy Griffin would look pure.

McCain advocated for continuous war and the spread of death worldwide. His leaving Congress is a victory for the human race. He opposed enhanced interrogations of foreign terrorists, yet favored drone strikes against Americans on American soil. He was a glorious servant to his O'liness.

With that attitude, you also die with a personal sense of grandeur, and complete lack of humility. That says a lot about the man.

All my comment was about concerned McCain's service. I believe that anyone who serves in the military and endures what McCain endured deserves recognition for such service which he did NOT get from Trump. What he did after his military service was not treasonous therefore his sacrifice for his country while in the Navy no matter what deserves praise. The last time I checked people didn't have to completely agree with Mr. Trump to be patriotic Americans. Such blind loyalty leads to dictatorship!

I disagree completely. The president issued his condolences and did so without lying. After all, the condolences were for a man, a so-called republican senator, who made his hatred for the president quite clear over and over and even up to his deathbed demanded the president NOT be allowed to attend his funeral. So, I consider the president's condolence remarks completely acceptable. If he had used gushing words, you all would have condemned him for lying, because he can never, ever win with you all. But, now that he is dead, all John McCain's sins are forgotten and he is now a saint, is a bunch of crap. But everyone can feel sympathy for his family who loved him and are now suffering loss.
