What is keeping idiots like you from living back in the glory days? All people like you do is whine because America is changing and there isn't one GD thing you can do about it...
Idiots like you need to pitch in and by you a piece of property and have your own little utopia compound with a 8' electric fence around it all and watch reruns of Leave It To Beaver, Father Knows Best, Donna Reed, I love Lucy, Dragnet and anything else that makes you happy. All your houses could have white picket fences and just think of the glorious church you bible thumpers could have. You could pray your little hearts to all the fictional characters and places all day if you like. After a spell you idiots would find something to bitch about since that's all you do here.

I am only 62 but I had a taste of what America was like before the coup d'état in 63. People were alive in that you had no idea what was going to come out of their mouths but it was going to be witty, funny or provoke thought. Every other person in my parents generation could play an instrument well. Social interaction was more than showing each other pictures of what you had for dinner. When the President spoke to the citizens it was with respect to all and down to none. Black musicians were the source for the most fascinating music you will ever hear not potty mouth nursery rhyme to a simple beat. In junior high you could obsess over the opposite sex without fear of offending anyone. Food was not as processed and family dinners happened every day. Musical artist earned there way to the top by popular demand not a platinum record deal done at Warner Brothers before anyone even knows who the artist is. I could go on and on but now is not the time to write a book. I would like to hear others talk about the qualities of life in America pre 1963.

Well, in the 50's when rock music was really getting it on, that's about the only thing that was. You couldn't get laid to save yourself, rapists were seldom prosecuted and child molesters were laughed at, "Chester the Molester" was a joke.
Teachers still dealt out capital punishment on the kids with a ruler, thick paddle with holes drilled in it, or whatever else came to hand, and a lot of those teachers weren't wrapped too tight.
Wages were steadily getting better, tho, and our roads and other infrastructure were improving like crazy. Smog was only beginning to become a problem and it was still safe to swim in the ocean. The water was clear for many feet, not muddy brown from pollution like now.
America's Golden Age ended around 1971 but after WWII and up until then, things were mostly pretty good and getting better. Now we're in reverse again and have been ever since the Bush's and Clintons.
A lot more could be said but someone else will have to keep writing this.

Those little progressive shits are good at that maneuver aren't they.
People who read and pay attention know that Woodrow Wilson was a racist as was his wife. When he became president she pressured him to fire the black White House staff.
He was formerly president of Princeton University, the very last Ivy League school to integrate in 1948.
In addition, he was not a master politician. He could not win over congress in his attempts to get the U.S. to join his pet project, "The League of Nations". This failure was one of the contributing factors of WWII.
Democrats have also had their poor presidents. You won't find many in the Democratic party who wistfully yearn for the not-so-good-old-days of LBJ.
People worked for a living back then. No matter how humble your job, it was a DISGRACE to be "on the dole" and if you were, everyone in town knew you were a lazy goldbrick.

I'm guessing you're from Texas, where a marijuana seed could get you death. No, my reference is Southern California. I don't know what sentence they had for a rape conviction back then, I just recall that such prosecutions were very rare, probably because it was a lot harder to prove back then.

louisiana and we had the death penalty for selling heroin but the commies stopped that.
So did rapists and child molesters back then...I really miss the electric chair...

That they did. I wonder how many folks realize how evil, manipulative and utterly without loyalty the organizations that control the currency are.

Kennedy called the Federal Reserve "a plot to destroy American's freedom." He actually gave an EO replacing Federal Reserve Notes with US notes, for which the Congress, rather than the Fed, was responsible. After his assassination, one of LBJs very first acts was to rescind that EO, and replace it with one of his own re-instating Federal Reserve Notes. Most people don't realize that JFK disliked LBJ, who was foisted off on him as VP by the even then, left wing of the Democrats. JFK opposed heavy troop deployment to Vietnam. He also opposed gun control. (Little known fact: LBJ's VP, Hubert Humphrey, the Liberal's Liberal, also opposed the Gun Control Act of '68 as being unConstitutional. LBJ pushed it through. We also have him and a Democrat Congress to thank for robbing Social Security.

And Nixon to thank for the beginning of the latest round of fiat currency that lasts to this day. Our presidents have sure helped f*** things up.
