Until the money is taken out of politics nothing will change. I believe just about everyone in our country knows this. Citizens United ruling made a bad situation much worse. Having to choose between the lesser of two evils and holding your nose while voting just shows you how corrupt our political system has become and our government is.:thumbup:

Let's observe that, while He affirms "21st Century international standards and 'consequences,'" Putin is laughing with his "19th Century, 'wrong side of history,'" takeover of Ukraine. Obama gets tough by (drum-roll) threats, demands and intimidation to Netanyahu and siccing the IRS on his perceived enemies.

We observe the ease with which fully exploiting our oil and gas reserves on federally controlled land would create major financial problems for Putin, effectively stopping his hegemony and simultaneously catapulting American GDP, killing unemployment and wiping out the deficits and debt. But our CinC views a phony climate-change issue a greater threat than Russia, N.Korea, and Iran.

Let's note China's announced intentions of issuing gold-backed Yuen as a primary reserve currency and the ongoing international decline (even among our friends) of the dollar's reserve status. Apparently China is making astonishingly large gold-buys to be stored in a mammoth underground, nuke-proof vault under NYC.

Meanwhile Michelle is off to Africa ($10M?) and we good-hearted Americans have ponied $1.4B to keep the 1st Fam. internationally entertained. But this is just annoyance, no fears here...

I certainly appreciate the defense. However, I don't think I'm on his "side".
My niche is an agnostic paleo-conservative and while I don't post a lot I read many of them and try to follow the links. What I dislike about many of the posts are the potty mouths, name calling and generally infantile behavior. Being a retired Master Sergeant I know all the curse words and most of the insults and I used them when necessary. They're NOT necessary here, if that's any indication of their mindset and vocabulary then they need more help than they'll ever find here. In a debate with anyone I always knew I had won when they were reduced to name calling because they had no facts or logic on their side.
Again,thanks for the defense, some are here to learn, some to instruct, and that's why I still chime in from time to time.
