On the one hand they murder, torture, imprison its citizens then tell them this is utopia? I don't think so. Evil is as evil does, it just depends if it falls on the right side of history. As they say, history is written by the winners and the winners get to decide who is evil.

Wasn't the capitalistic US that killed untold numbers of Native American men, women and children and stole MILLIONS of acres of their land and then handed over to the white slave aristocracy? Think Jackson and his war against the Creek and Cherokee.

Isn't it the capitalistic US that imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world? A capitalistic privately owned prison system with more prisons than anywhere on earth that lobbys for more and more stricter sentencing laws. Some 2.2 MILLION incarcerated, many for non-violent crimes like drug possession.

Isn't it the left that leads the debate against the torture of prisoners of war? Isn't it the left that screams against police brutality. Isn't it the left that promotes the welfare state that helps the poor.

The deaths caused by capitalism are usually the result of capitalist constructions, be they systemic poverty, imperialism, Atlantic and post-Atlantic slavery, etc.

What happens when the capitalistic US slaps sanctions on another country? Who suffers? Not the elite of that country but its civilians.

Capitalism is a structure in which the rich enslave the poor through waged work. It also kills people from other countries for their resources.
As Voltaire said: “The comfort of the rich depends upon an abundant supply of the poor.”

In the end I don’t see much difference with other tyrannic forms of government. At least communism assumes its tyranny. Capitalism feeds you the illusion of prosperity and freedom.

In the US capitalism=corporate/government collusion.

Now, tell me again, who gets to write history?

Poor America: 40% of Americans Can't Afford Middle-Class Lifestyle

Zero Hedge
May 21, 2018

Even though the stock market trades at near record highs, joblessness suppressed at decade lows, and corporate buybacks/profits booming via Trump's tax reform, poverty is exploding all over America.

One of the primary objectives of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy of this past decade was to generate the "wealth effect"€: by artificially driving valuations of stocks and bonds to nosebleed valuations, American households would feel more prosperous, therefore, be more inclined to borrow and spend, even if some households did not own financial instruments.

In other words, a Central-Bank-free-money-anything-goes-induced "economic recovery" was supposed to trigger fast-paced economic growth, as households would reignite the service-based economy.

While this perception management only worked for the wealthiest households who owned financial instruments, the reckless monetary policy of the Federal Reserve created a massive problem of wealth inequality among Americans.

Bullmueller.
I grew up poor. I wasn't born in a log cabin, but we moved into one when we could afford it. Momma kept a pot boiling just in case something died. But I worked and saved and started to invest in bonds at an early age. Now, I'm the white guy everyone hates because I was prudent with money.
Now I don't have to get the shoes back home at night so my brother can go out.
Got my own shoes.

And with trumpy's tax cut and jobs act some of the working poor can move move from their car into a more roomy luxury cardboard box if rethuglicans had their way. Was in jail for public intoxication in 1989 (got off because cop had no probable cause, I was legally parked). There was about 25 guys in the drunk tank. A black dude was passed out long ways on the only cement rise in the whole 30X40 cement room with a combo stainless toilet/water fountain in one corner. Someone stole the passed out black dudes boots and when they got them off the whole damn room stunk of dirty foot odor. Those that were still awake were pissed. Guess he learned to get his own shoes, eh?

It is clear that Trump does not care about the well-being of any but the rich. The poor could eat cake, but there is none

Conservatives and liberals alike must ask themselves two questions. 1) What are the legitimate functions of government? And is the government under Trump fulfilling those purposes?

If you answer that the only legitimate purpose of government is the defense of the nation, then even by this standard Trump, with his relationship with other countries, especially Russia, is failing that responsibility.

In this country every yahoo and their toothless cousin has a gun so why would we need government to defend us?

Even our enemies know that Trump's biggest enemy is the American left and the treasonous intelligence bureaus, each one. Putin exudes sympathy for an American president withstanding an unprecedented onslaught by his own agencies. And Trump is supposed to smile while everyone in Washington DC is trying to remove him from office?
Bullmueller.

My eyes ain't foolin when I look at my portfolio. I'm doing very well, of course, I'm a retired white healthy male who made some good decisions during the working years, and it's really paying off with Trump's policies.
It's easy to make money, just invest it in something other than the lottery.
