There was no government shutdown. Essential services continued. At best it could be considered a government slowdown. That does beg the question, if the federal government brings in enough money to pay our debt service and keep essential services going, why are we stealing over a trillion dollars a year, from our children, for NON-ESSENTIAL services?

Senator Cruz did not cause the slowdown. Anyone stating this is either ignorant of how the House and Senate work, or is deliberately lying. The slowdown occurred when the Senate refused to consider any of the continuing resolutions sent by the house. The House of Representatives is tasked with originating all spending. They then send the bill to the Senate. The House sent over at least 5 CRs which would have kept the government operating. In every case, Harry Reid refused to allow fthe bills to be presented to the Senate.

So, you see, you are spreading the lefts lies for them. You are certainly NOT conservative. You are either a liberal trying to act like a conservative for your own reasons. Or the more likely scenario is you just do not know what you are talking about and you are simply one of the lefts' "useful idiots" Marx wrote of.

When big money started talking of removing support, Even you beloved Koch brothers talked of shifting support given to the far right by their several money groups.
