I'm not talking about myths and fables. I'm talking about prayers answered on a daily basis by a loving God. Good luck convincing me otherwise. Coincidence is not that consistent.

Iggy, he has prayed for himself many times and this is why he is here, satan has blinded him into thinking he himself is omnipotent.

Off the topic, but what is "cowman"? Just curious, is that a play on cowboy? I wonder every time I see your name on a thread.

Just because we are believers in Christ, go to Church, do good deeds, does not guarantee a right way to heaven. In the book of Corinthians specifically says, there will be many Christians left behind. This will be a shocker to a lot, to say the least. Christians have laws to follow...and they're the laws of God....the Ten Commandments. A Christian must be loving, forgiving, meek and a peacemaker, kind, giving, servant of God, love thy neighbor, respect marriage with no adulterous behavior, and so many more things that complete what a true Christian should be and have to be to be with God. Needless to say with reservations and shame, I fall short. But, I'm going to try to be what God expects me to be from this day on. In my arrogance and self-centerness, I just had a real eye opening while searching in the Bible about when the day of rapture will come, pretribulation, mid tribulation or post tribulation, when I read that many Christians will be left behind. And for these Christians that thought they lived right, may have done one thing that will not impress God to the point they're not taken in the rapture. I just pray God will be more forgiving to us all because the tribulation is something none of us want to be left behind to experience.
Just because we are believers in Christ, go to Chu... (show quote)

I respectfully disagree, the prophets wanted to live in the end times, and they had no expectation of flying away, please read Matthew 10: 18 and 19, we are to be delivered up to testify for the Lord, and to not premeditate what we will say because the Spirit of God will be speaking through us, and even the gainsayers will be convinced, from my reading of the Bible I truly believe we are meant to stay right here and witness.

I beleive Jesus was telling his deciples that they would be arrested and tried. To not dwell on what to say or fret over it, but to have faith in imminent guidance.

I just read the reference and I agree with you. Now, can you answer a question for me.. Please? I have been following this thread and people have spoken of a Rapture. Please tell me where to find that in the bible. Thank you.

No where is the word rapture used. This I can say with certainty. It's hotly debated and is the most divisive issue that's arguments lead to verbal war amongst believers in Jesus' return. Its an interpretation of revelations that someone more qualified with end times prophecy I hope will come forward with an unbiased explanation for you as a inquisitive Jewish participant in this subject matter.

Thank you. Now, forgive me....another question. Is this the only place that it is referenced? If so, then why is it not in the scriptures associated with the quotes of Jesus Christ? He spoke about the end of days, one would think with something this important it would be mentioned.

I am not trying to be disrespectful, I am just in search of knowledge.

Thanks

Thank you. Yes, being Jewish does add some spice into the mixture. But, Jewish people are also inquisitive and because I love learning, I just can not help myself when something hits my interest. Not as an argument, but of learning and searching, a better understanding.

:?: what I should of said is you will not find this word ever used in the Bible. I don't believe in a rapture. But you will not find the word ever used in the old or new testament big Google the word and it explains the concept better than anyone here I believe will give. But this said I will be interested in the responses that follow. Please tell us where the rapture is found?

I was given a reference, I read it. Now I need to go look it up in Latin and Greek; sometimes words got turned around. Of course being Jewish, there are not many references in Hebrew. However, my Russian orthodox bible translates out to about the same as in Thessalonians. Armogedian (I think that is his name) promised to discuss it with me tomorrow. He (I am assuming his gender) seems to know quite a bit about the Bible. I look forward to hearing from him. I do not really trust the net, but it can point me to other references; thank you for the reminder.
